Re‐Awakening Public Attention to the Silent Pandemic of Cancer Among Older Adults in Low‐ and Middle‐Income Countries

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT As global populations age, cancer is increasingly becoming a leading cause of morbidity and mortality among older adults, particularly in low‐ and middle‐income countries (LMICs). Despite accounting for the majority of new cancer cases and deaths, older individuals remain underrepresented in cancer research, clinical guidelines, and health ...

Aging Is a Key Driver for Adult Acute Myeloid Leukemia

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a classical age‐related hematologic malignancy, and a key driver of AML is aging, which profoundly regulates intrinsic factors such as genomic instability, epigenetic reprogramming, and metabolic dysregulation, and alters bone marrow microenvironment.

Flexible Seismicity Modeling With Neural Modulated Renewal Processes

open access: yesEarth's Future
Neural point processes (NPPs) have recently been applied to seismicity modeling, but their theoretical connections to classical point processes models remain elusive.

Mutant NPM1 in Acute Myeloid Leukemia Initiation and Maintenance

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
NPM1 mutations drive acute myeloid leukemia by acting as neomorphic transcriptional regulators that cooperate with Menin–MLL and XPO1 to sustain HOX/MEIS1 expression and block differentiation. Targeting these mutant‐specific transcriptional dependencies provides a rational therapeutic strategy for NPM1‐mutated AML.

Association of Corticospinal Tract Asymmetry With Ambulatory Ability After Intracerebral Hemorrhage

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Ambulatory ability after intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is important to patients. We tested whether asymmetry between ipsi‐ and contra‐lesional corticospinal tracts (CSTs) assessed by diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) is associated with post‐ICH ambulation.

Dynamic Analysis of a Unified Multivariate Counting Process and Its Asymptotic Behavior

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2009
The class of counting processes constitutes a significant part of applied probability. The classic counting processes include Poisson processes, nonhomogeneous Poisson processes, and renewal processes.

Density and Distribution Evaluation for Convolution of Independent Gamma Variables

open access: yes, 2018
Several numerical evaluations of the density and distribution of convolution of independent gamma variables are compared in their accuracy and speed. In application to renewal processes, an efficient formula is derived for the probability mass function ...

Regenerative renewal processes [PDF]

open access: yesApplicationes Mathematicae, 1988
This paper studies two kinds of point processes. One of them is a regenerative renewal process consisting of consecutive editions of some renewal process initiated at the shock moments. The other process is a superposition of delayed renewal processes; a special case of it is the version where the superposed delayed processes are terminated. The author

Glymphatic Dysfunction Reflects Post‐Concussion Symptoms: Changes Within 1 Month and After 3 Months

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) may alter glymphatic function; however, its progression and variability remain obscure. This study examined glymphatic function following mTBI within 1 month and after 3 months post‐injury to determine whether variations in glymphatic function are associated with post‐traumatic symptom severity ...

A holistic organizational behaviour model for organization renewal

open access: yesSouth African Journal of Business Management, 1989
There is a need to identify the dependent and independent variables that play a role in organizational renewal. The scientific basis of previous attempts to identify these variables are questionable as they represent the haphazard inclusion of some ...
