Impacts of Drought on Loan Repayment

In order to stress test loan portfolios for the impacts of climate change, historical events need to be analyzed to create templates to stress test for future events. Using the 2012 Midwestern US drought as an example, this work creates a stress-testing template for future droughts.

The Repayment Structure of Agricultural Loans under a Full Repayment Constraint

Abstract We investigate the optimal asset allocation and repayment strategy of an agricultural loan under a guaranteed repayment condition in a continuous-time setting. We propose two forms of the problem: an analytically solvable “separable” problem and a more realistic “nominal” problem that is investigated numerically.

Testing the Marketing Performance of German Wheat Farmers

ABSTRACT This paper analyses the marketing performance of wheat farmers in Germany. Wheat sales data from 465 individual farms over a 12‐year period are used to test against different market benchmarks. Market benchmarks are constructed by simulating passive trading agents using regional wheat prices.
