Why humans might help strangers
Humans regularly help strangers, even when interactions are apparently unobserved and unlikely to be repeated. Such situations have been simulated in the laboratory using anonymous one-shot games (e.g.

Testing Threats in Repeated Games [PDF]
I introduce a solution concept for infinite-horizon games, called “Nash equilibrium with added tests”, in which players optimize with respect to relevant threats only after having tested them before.

Laser wire directed energy deposition process was leveraged to fabricate large scale NiTi alloy wall. Evaluation of build‐height‐dependent tribo‐mechanical properties revealed significant differences in location specific sample characteristics. The middle region achieved optimal performance (superior wear resistance, balanced strength‐ductility ...

Repeated Game for Distributed Estimation in Autonomous Clustered Wireless Sensor Networks
A commonly encountered problem in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) applications is to reconstruct the state of nature, that is, distributed estimation of a parameter of interest through WSNs' observations. However, the distributed estimation in autonomous

On the Limit Equilibrium Payoff Set in Repeated and Stochastic Games [PDF]
This paper provides a dual characterization of the limit set of perfect public equilibrium payoffs in stochastic games (in particular, repeated games) as the discount factor tends to one.

Cr0.9Si0.1 protective coatings are developed to enhance the thermal‐shock and oxidation resistance of Mg2Si0.89(Sn0.1,Sb0.01) thermoelectric (TE) materials. The coating forms a dense and adherent barrier that suppresses oxygen diffusion and mitigates mechanical degradation during cyclic oxidation, demonstrating its potential to improve the long‐term ...

REPEATED GAMES WITH PROBABILISTIC HORIZON [PDF]
Repeated games with probabilistic horizon are defined as those games where players have a common probability structure over the length of the game's repetition, T.

Rheocasting versus Die Casting: An Insight into the Low‐Cycle Fatigue Behavior of AlSi7Mg0.6
The study compares rheocast lightweight components with high‐pressure die cast materials regarding microstructure and fatigue behavior. Rheocast process offers higher efficiency due to lower casting temperatures. Despite some microstructural differences, both processes show similar strengths (yield strength 125 MPa, tensile strength 240 MPa).
