Peripheral CD56+CD16+ NK Cell Populations in the Early Follicular Phase Are Associated With Successful Clinical Outcomes of Intravenous Immunoglobulin Treatment in Women With Repeated Implantation Failure

open access: yesFrontiers in Endocrinology, 2020
The percentage of peripheral CD56+CD16+ NK cells in the early follicular phase on days 2–3 of the menstrual cycle in repeated implantation failure (RIF) patients was used to evaluate the impact of intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) on ART cycles.

Implantation of a poly-L-lactide GCSF-functionalized scaffold in a model of chronic myocardial infarction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
A previously developed poly-l-lactide scaffold releasing granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (PLLA/GCSF) was tested in a rabbit chronic model of myocardial infarction (MI) as a ventricular patch.

Artifact‐Minimizing Ultrathin Transparent Electrodes Fabricated via iCVD for In Vivo Optogenetic Stimulation and Neural Signal Monitoring of Primary Visual Cortex

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We present ultrathin flexible transparent electrodes through iCVD‐enabled molecular control of 10 nm gold films on poly(dimethylaminomethylstyrene). In vivo validation demonstrated photoelectric artifact reduction vs. opaque electrodes and preservation of natural neural dynamics.

Interventional radiology treatments for iatrogenic severe bleeding during percutaneous coronary interventions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Purpose: Interventional cardiology and interventional radiology are separate medical disciplines in which intra-arterial contrast media are used. Interventional cardiology has resigned from many types of treatment techniques that are now used and ...

Preimplantation genetic diagnosis for aneuploidy screening in repeated implantation failure

open access: yesReproductive BioMedicine Online, 2005
Chromosomal abnormalities are thought to be responsible for implantation failure, and among chromosomal abnormalities in normally developing embryos, aneuploidy is the most frequent. Genetic testing of preimplantation embryos for chromosomal aneuploidy allows selection of chromosomally normal embryos, and early detection of chromosomal aberration will ...

Multi‐Scale Interface Engineering of MXenes for Multifunctional Sensory Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
MXenes, as two‐dimensional transition metal carbides and nitrides, demonstrate remarkable capabilities for multifunctional sensing applications. This review systematically examines multi‐scale interface engineering approaches that enhance sensing performance, enable diverse detection functionalities, and improve system‐level compatibility in MXene ...

Dual‐Programmable Architected Magnetic Soft Materials: Tuning Mechano–Electric Responses by Inverse Design

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Materials that can deform, sense, and autonomously generate power in response to wireless magnetic fields, through both magnetic‐actuated shape transformation and charge generation, are an emerging focus in advanced functional materials research.

The Cerebellar Fastigial Nucleus Contributes to CO\u3csub\u3e2\u3c/sub\u3e-H\u3csup\u3e+\u3c/sup\u3e Ventilatory Sensitivity in Awake Goats [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The purpose of this study was to test the hypothesis that an intact cerebellar fastigial nucleus (CFN) is an important determinant of CO2-H+ sensitivity during wakefulness.
