An iterative repetitive control scheme is presented for a class of linear systems. An optimal solution is given in the case of non-minimum phase discrete time systems. After convergence and robustness studies, some simulation results are shown. >

Overshootless repetitive control
2015 IEEE 24th International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE), 2015Repetitive control (RC) is a widely used effective approach for periodic reference tracking and periodic disturbance rejection. In this paper, its use for periodic disturbance rejection and piecewise constant reference tracking is analyzed in a continuous-time framework.

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2000
Repetitive controllers are generally applied to reject periodic disturbances and to track periodic reference signals with a known period. Their design is based on the internal model principle, proposed by Francis and Wonham (1975). This paper describes a new finite-dimensional SISO repetitive controller for two different classes of nonlinear plants ...

Designing Robust Repetitive Controllers
Journal of Dynamic Systems, Measurement, and Control, 2004A method for designing repetitive feedback controllers using nonparametric frequency response plant models is developed. In comparison to the zero-phase-error (ZPE) controller (ASME J. Dyn. Syst. Meas. Control, 111, pp. 353–358), this method has the added benefit of providing improved transient performance when the plant inverse is unstable.

A nonlinear repetitive controller
Journal of Control Theory and Applications, 2011A nonlinear repetitive controller is proposed. The new method is mainly composed of a repetitive control part and a deadband relay. Whenever the input error goes beyond the range of the deadband relay, the control loop is driven dominantly by the deadband relay to obtain fast dynamic response and meanwhile to avoid the saturation of the repetitive ...

Understanding repetitive control and resonant control
2012 3rd IEEE International Symposium on Power Electronics for Distributed Generation Systems (PEDG), 2012The relationship between resonant control and repetitive control is investigated in this paper. Resonant control and repetitive control are compared by using them to an active power filter (APF). The stability and design of parameter with the two control methods in APF system are analyzed, and the steady-state error and transient response are also ...

A Digital Segmented Repetitive Control Algorithm
Journal of Dynamic Systems, Measurement, and Control, 1994This paper presents the structure and analysis of the segmented discrete-time repetitive controller. The repetitive controller is designed to reject periodic disturbance and/or track periodic reference signal with known period. Resulted from the Internal Model Principle, the repetitive control law is applied to the entire control path.

Transient Response of Repetitive Control Systems
Journal of Dynamic Systems, Measurement, and Control, 1996Upper bounds on transient response magnitudes for a SISO continuous-time repetitive control system are derived. Limiting the size of these transients is shown to be related to limiting the ∞-norm of a transfer function product of filters used in the repetitive controller.

Repetitive control via sampled-data H ∞ Control
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2004Abstract Repetitive control has been implemented in various industrial applications to allow systems to track or reject unknown periodic signals with a fixed period. Repetitive controllers are usually implemented by digital computers, in which undesired ripples may occur between sampling instants.

Repetitive and periodic controller design
IEE Proceedings D Control Theory and Applications, 1993Compensators can be designed to give zero steady-state error in tracking arbitrary periodic or repetitive reference signals. The previously presented technique for design of the compensator has a limited convergence rate for the decay of tracking errors and a limited region of stability.
