On Optimal Replacement Policies

Management Science, 1982
A system (e.g., a car) must operate for the next t time units. A certain component (e.g., a battery) must be replaced whenever it fails, as it is essential for the operation of the system. There are several types of components differing only in price and life distribution.

Bayesian Group Replacement Policies

Operations Research, 1995
Much research has been performed in finding optimal group replacement policies for production systems consisting of parallel components, where the failure times of the components are independent identically distributed exponential random variables with a common parameter λ.

Repair replacement policies

Journal of Applied Probability, 1993
In this paper we introduce the concept of repair replacement. Repair replacement is a maintenance policy in which items are preventively maintained when a certain time has elapsed since their last repair. This differs from age replacement where a certain amount of time has elapsed since the last replacement.
