Sequential Nonparametric Age Replacement Policies
Consider an age replacement policy, by which a stochastically failing unit is replaced at failure or after being in service for t units of time, whichever comes first. The problem is to estimate sequentially the optimal replacement time \(\phi^*\) which minimizes the expected long-run average cost.

ABSTRACT Purpose Air pollution has been linked to several neurological conditions, including stroke and neurodegenerative diseases. Evidence regarding its association with multiple sclerosis (MS) remains conflicting, limited by small sample sizes. Methods PubMed, Embase, Scopus, and Cochrane controlled register of trials (CENTRAL) were searched on ...

Multiple Sclerosis Relapse Activity After Ozanimod Discontinuation in DAYBREAK Trial Participants
Multiple Sclerosis Relapse Activity After Ozanimod Discontinuation in DAYBREAK Trial Participants. ABSTRACT Objective Return of disease activity is expected when patients discontinue disease‐modifying therapy (DMT) for multiple sclerosis (MS). Some MS DMTs are associated with higher‐than‐expected disease activity (rebound) after discontinuation.

A discounted model for a repairable system with continuous state space [PDF]
We examine repairable systems with a continous state space and partial repair options, carried out at fixed times $n=1,2,...$. Every time interval $[n,n+1)$ there is a manufacturing cost and a repair cost.

Objective Mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) use in limited cutaneous systemic sclerosis (lcSSc) is relatively uncommon because of the lower fibrotic burden and the predominance of vascular complications. In vitro observations and clinical data from transplanted patients suggest a protective effect of MMF on endothelial function.

A Copula-based Maintenance Modeling for Parallel Systems with Non-self Announcing Failures and Dependent Components [PDF]
Based on a copula function this paper addresses a maintenance scheduling problem for parallel systems whose components are dependent and their failures are detected only by inspections. To carry out preventive maintenance actions, the decision process is

Caching strategy based on node’s importance to community in information-centric networks
In-network caching is one of the most important features of ICN (information-centric networks).A caching strategy based on node’s importance to community was proposed to make content objects cached more reasonable in temporal and spatial distribution ...
