The replicator dynamics of generalized Nash games

open access: yesMathematics in Applied Sciences and Engineering, 2021
Generalized Nash Games are a powerful modelling tool, first introduced in the 1950's. They have seen some important developments in the past two decades.

Dynamics of DNA Replication in Yeast [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2011
We present a mathematical model for the spatial dynamics of DNA replication. Using this model we determine the probability distribution for the time at which each chromosomal position is replicated. From this we show, contrary to previous reports, that mean replication time curves cannot be used to directly determine origin parameters.

Homophily, payoff distributions, and truncation selection in replicator dynamics

open access: green, 2016
This dissertation explores the field of replicator dynamics by examining extensions to and relaxations of the classical replicator equation and complimentary agent-based models.

A New Replicator: A theoretical framework for analysing replication

open access: yesBMC Biology, 2010
Background Replicators are the crucial entities in evolution. The notion of a replicator, however, is far less exact than the weight of its importance. Without identifying and classifying multiplying entities exactly, their dynamics cannot be determined ...

Decentralized Control for Urban Drainage Systems Using Replicator Dynamics

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
This paper proposes a decentralized control scheme that mitigates floods in urban drainage systems (UDSs). First, we develop a partitioning algorithm of the UDS relying on a graph model of the system.

Ecology and Evolution in the RNA World Dynamics and Stability of Prebiotic Replicator Systems

open access: yesLife, 2017
As of today, the most credible scientific paradigm pertaining to the origin of life on Earth is undoubtedly the RNA World scenario. It is built on the assumption that catalytically active replicators (most probably RNA-like macromolecules) may have been ...

Boltzmann Distributed Replicator Dynamics: Population Games in a Microgrid Context

open access: yesGames, 2021
Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) have been used to solve several optimization problems in control systems. MAS allow understanding the interactions between agents and the complexity of the system, thus generating functional models that are closer to reality ...

Light-driven eco-evolutionary dynamics in a synthetic replicator system [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
Darwinian evolution involves the inheritance and selection of variations in reproducing entities. Selection can be based on, among others, interactions with the environment.

The Dynamics of Costly Signaling

open access: yesGames, 2013
Costly signaling is a mechanism through which the honesty of signals can be secured in equilibrium, even in interactions where communicators have conflicting interests.
