A Theoretical Approach to Norm Ecosystems: Two Adaptive Architectures of Indirect Reciprocity Show Different Paths to the Evolution of Cooperation

open access: yesFrontiers in Physics, 2018
Indirect reciprocity is one of the basic mechanisms to sustain mutual cooperation, by which beneficial acts are returned, not by the recipient, but by third parties.

Evolutionarily Stable Strategies and Replicator Dynamics in Asymmetric Two-Population Games [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We analyze the main dynamical properties of the evolutionarily stable strategy (E) for asymmetric two-population games of finite size and its corresponding replicator dynamics.

The predator-dependent replicator dynamics

open access: yes, 2021
Ecological interactions are central to understanding evolution. For example, Darwin noticed that the beautiful colours of the male peacock increase the chance of successful mating.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Social viscosity with zealots [PDF]

open access: yesRoyal Society Open Science
Cooperation delivers collective benefits but faces evolutionary challenges due to the advantage of selfish defection. Evolutionary game theory explains how cooperation can emerge through various social viscosity mechanisms: direct reciprocity, indirect ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Evolution models with extremal dynamics

open access: yesHeliyon, 2016
The random-neighbor version of the Bak-Sneppen biological evolution model is reproduced, along with an analogous model of random replicators, the latter eventually experiencing topology changes.

Equilibrium Stability of Asymmetric Evolutionary Games of Multi-Agent Systems With Multiple Groups in Open Electricity Market

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
The asymptotically stable equilibrium points of asymmetric evolutionary games for multiple groups with multiple game strategies are obtained. The evolution of four groups and more multiple groups in open electricity market are described by the replicator
