Generalized multiple scale reproducing kernel particle methods

Computer Methods in Applied Mechanics and Engineering, 1996
An approach to unify reproducing kernel methods and an extension to include time and spatial shifting are proposed. The groundwork is set by revisiting the Fourier analysis of discrete systems. The multiresolution concept, its significance in devising the reproducing kernel methods and its discrete counterpart, reproducing kernel particle methods, are ...

Explicit Reproducing Kernel Particle Methods for large deformation problems

International Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, 1998
Summary: The explicit reproducing kernel particle method (RKPM) is presented and applied to the simulations of large deformation problems. RKPM is a meshless method which does not need a mesh structure in its formulation. Because of this mesh-free property, RKPM is able to simulate large deformation problems without remeshing which is often required ...

Multiresolution reproducing kernel particle methods in acoustics

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1996
In the analysis of complex phenomena of acoustic systems, the computational modeling requires special attention for a realistic representation of the physics. As a powerful tool, the finite-element method has been widely used in the study of complex systems.

A reproducing kernel method with nodal interpolation property

International Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, 2003
AbstractA general formulation for developing reproducing kernel (RK) interpolation is presented. This is based on the coupling of a primitive function and an enrichment function. The primitive function introduces discrete Kronecker delta properties, while the enrichment function constitutes reproducing conditions.

Splitting Rolling Simulated by Reproducing Kernel Particle Method

Journal of Iron and Steel Research International, 2007
During splitting rolling simulation, re-meshing is necessary to prevent the effect of severe mesh distortion when the conventional finite element method is used. However, extreme deformation cannot be solved by the finite element method in splitting rolling.
