Application of ZnO Nanowires for the Photodegradation of Resazurin
2011 First ACIS/JNU International Conference on Computers, Networks, Systems and Industrial Engineering, 2011ZnO nanowires were synthesized via a vapor transport synthesis route. These nanowires were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), field scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and UV -- vis spectroscopy. The results of XRD revealed that monophasic nature of ZnO. The observation of FESEM images showed that the obtained ZnO nanowires were homogenous with

Resazurin reduction as a function of respiratory burst in bovine neutrophils
American Journal of Veterinary Research, 1997Abstract Objective To determine whether the respiratory burst of neutrophils from bovine blood and milk can be analyzed by use of a fluorometric resazurin reduction assay. Sample Population Neutrophils were obtained from EDTA-anticoagulated blood of 7 dairy cows.

The Resazurin Microplate Method for Rapid Detection of Vancomycin Resistance in Enterococci
Journal of Chemotherapy, 2005Vancomycin-resistant enterococci (VRE) are a serious challenge for physicians because of the limited treatment options for infections caused by this organism. Prevention of VRE transmission in hospitals requires early detection of infected or colonized patients. Therefore rapid and correct detection of vancomycin resistance is essential. In this study,

Kinetic-spectrophotometric determination of sulfide by its reaction with resazurin
Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry, 1996A sensitive, rapid and selective method for the determination of sulfide based on its reaction with resazurin at pH 7 is described. The method is simple and has the great advantage of being free from interference of other sulfur anions and thus sulfide can be easily determined at trace levels in the presence of other sulfur compounds.

THE REDUCTION OF RESAZURIN IN MILK AND AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS
Canadian Journal of Research, 1941The action of resazurin in milk is complex and not as yet clearly understood. The various resazurin tests have been proposed as practical tests for estimating bacterial populations in milk before they have emerged from the experimental stage. A significant proportion of results cannot at present be interpreted with the reasonable certainty necessary ...

Assessment of Cell Proliferation with Resazurin-Based Fluorescent Dye
2011The Alamar Blue assay is based on enzymatic reduction of indicator dye by viable cells and serves as an effective tool for assessing cell proliferation and as a screening technique. It can be applied in studies concentrating on animal, plant, yeast, and bacteria cells.

Assay of mitochondrial functions by resazurin in vitro.
Acta pharmacologica Sinica, 2004To study the mechanism of resazurin as indicator of mitochondrial function and to develop a rapid and sensitive assay for measuring metabolic activity of isolated mitochondria from rat liver in vitro. The screening was carried out on 96-well microtitre plates by monitoring fluorescence intensity of resazurin reduced by mitochondria.
