Fluorimetric assay of tobacco leaf dehydrogenases with resazurin

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Enzymology, 1977
A versatile fluorimetric assay based on the reduction of resazurin to resorufin demonstrated high specific activities for a number of important pyridine nucleotide-linked dehydrogenases in tobacco leaves. The Michaelis constant for the important photosynthetic enzyme, D-glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate:NADP+ oxidoreductase (EC 1.2.1.13), determined by the ...

Voltammetry of resazurin at a mercury electrode

Chemical Papers, 2010
AbstractElectrochemical behavior of resazurin on HMDE in Britton-Robinson (B-R) buffers (pH 2.0–10.0) was studied using the square-wave voltammetry (SWV), square-wave adsorptive stripping voltammetry (SWAdSV), and cyclic voltammetry (CV) techniques. The voltammogram of resazurin in B-R buffer at pH < 4.0 exhibited two cathodic reduction peaks.

Changes in the expression of genes that regulate apoptosis as a factor in the development of chemoresistance in soft tissue sarcoma

Advances in Molecular Oncology
Introduction. The active use of highly toxic chemotherapy in the treatment of soft tissue sarcomas determines the need to search for criteria and markers of chemoresistance of patients to the therapy.Aim.

Resazurin assay of radiation response in cultured cells

The British Journal of Radiology, 2005
We describe use of resazurin reduction for measurement of cell response to irradiation as a simple and non-destructive assay that complements the conventional colony forming assay and can readily be applied to both adherent and non-adherent cell cultures.

A rapid resazurin bioassay for assessing the toxicity of fungicides

Chemosphere, 2009
Fungicides are widely used in agriculture, and released in large amounts to the environment. Methods used for antifungal susceptibility testing are cumbersome and time-consuming. As a result, very little attention has been paid to including fungal tests in the routine screening of pesticides and there are no reports in the literature of fungicide ...

SELECTING THE OPTIMAL CONCENTRATION OF NUTRIENTS, DISPERSANT AND DIESEL OIL TO ENHANCE METABOLIC ACTIVITY AND DIESEL OIL CONSUMPTION BY MARINE ENDOGENOUS MICROBIOTA AT 15 °C

AgroLife Scientific Journal, 2014
In this paper we present our results concerning further screening for optimal concentration of dispersant (Nacol C), nutrients and diesel oil to sustain metabolic activity of marine autochthonous microbiotain order to enhance the biological consumption ...

Drug Screening by Resazurin Colorimetry in Ewing Sarcoma

2020
In Ewing sarcoma (EwS), development of new therapeutic strategies is crucial in order to refine treatment and improve patient survival, especially in metastatic or recurrent disease stages. Thus, preclinical drug screening is a key issue in EwS research.

THE BEHAVIOUR OF RESAZURIN IN MILK

Canadian Journal of Research, 1942
The view that resazurin is not a satisfactory substitute for methylene blue in assessing the hygienic quality of milk has been examined.Resazurin is equally as sensitive as methylene blue to the metabolic activities of bacteria in milk. It is decidedly more sensitive to the presence of non-bacterial factors in abnormal milks (mastitis, late lactation,
