Hierarchical Generalized Linear Models: The R Package HGLMMM
The R package HGLMMM has been developed to fit generalized linear models with random effects using the h-likelihood approach. The response variable is allowed to follow a binomial, Poisson, Gaussian or gamma distribution.

Biases of the restricted maximum likelihood estimators for ARMA processes with polynomial time trend
In order to estimate autoregressive moving average models with a general polynomial time trend, the restricted or residual likelihood is considered. The autoregressive moving average parameter estimator maximizing the restricted likelihood has shown to ...

Properties and inference of the Pareto Lomax distribution with applications to real data
This paper introduces a new four-parameter lifetime model, the odd Pareto–Lomax (OPLx) distribution. By extending the Lomax model, the OPLx distribution provides enhanced flexibility for modeling real-world data across various fields.

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Patient‐derived organoids (PDOs) from pancreatic, colorectal, and gastric cancers were used to evaluate standard and experimental therapies. Incorporating cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) into organoid cultures improved patient therapy outcome prediction.

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

Maximum Likelihood Robust Regression with Known and Unknown Residual Models
The first part of this paper is mathematical. We will prove formally that by considering independent residual models for “good ” residuals and outliers and minimizing the sum of squared observed residuals weighted by the estimated posterior probabilities

The autoregressive process with moving average residuals is a stationary process $\{y_t\}$ satisfying $\sum^p_{s = 0} \beta_sy_{t - s} = \sum^q_{j = 0} \alpha_j\nu_{t - j}$, where the sequence $\{\nu_t\}$ consists of independently identically distributed (unobservable) random variables.

Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.
