Feasibility of a ctDNA multigenic panel for non‐small‐cell lung cancer early detection and disease surveillance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Plasma‐based detection of actionable mutations is a promising approach in lung cancer management. Analysis of ctDNA with a multigene NGS panel identified TP53, KRAS, and EGFR as the most frequently altered, with TP53 and KRAS in treatment‐naïve patients and TP53 and EGFR in previously treated patients.

Residual power series method for fractional Sharma-Tasso-Olever equation

open access: yesCommunications in Numerical Analysis, 2016
In this paper, we introduce a modified analytical approximate technique to obtain solution of time fractional Sharma-Tasso-Olever equation. First, we present an alternative framework of the Residual power series method (RPSM) which can be used simply and effectively to handle nonlinear fractional differential equations arising in several physical ...

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Data series subtraction with unknown and unmodeled background noise

open access: yes, 2014
LISA Pathfinder (LPF), ESA's precursor mission to a gravitational wave observatory, will measure the degree to which two test-masses can be put into free-fall, aiming to demonstrate a residual relative acceleration with a power spectral density (PSD ...

Motion of buoyant particles and coarsening of solid-liquid mixtures in a random acceleration field [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
Flow induced by a random acceleration field (g-jitter) is considered in two related situations that are of interest for microgravity fluid experiments: the random motion of an isolated buoyant particle and coarsening of a solid-liquid mixture.

Effect of chemotherapy on passenger mutations in metastatic colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Changes in passenger mutation load and predicted immunotherapy response after chemotherapy treatment. Tumor cells rich with passenger mutations have increased sensitivity to chemotherapy. Correlation of passenger mutations with neoantigen load suggests highly mutated clones promote a more effective response to immunotherapy, and therefore, first‐line ...

On the Laplace Residual Series Method and Its Application to Time-Fractional Fisher’s Equations

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
In this paper, we develop an analytical approximate solution for the nonlinear time-fractional Fisher’s equation using a right starting space function and a unique analytic-numeric technique referred to as the Laplace residual power series approach.

Effect of prior cold work on the mechanical properties of weldments [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Heat exchanger units used in steam raising power plant are often manufactured using many metres of austenitic stainless steel tubes that have been plastically formed (bent and swaged) and welded into complex shapes. The amount of plastic deformation (pre-

Detection of circulating tumor DNA in colorectal cancer patients using a methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed a cost‐effective methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex assay containing tissue‐conserved and tumor‐specific methylation markers. The assay can detect circulating tumor DNA with high accuracy in patients with localized and metastatic colorectal cancer.

A new class of distribution-free tests for time series models specification [PDF]

open access: yes
The construction of asymptotically distribution free time series model specification tests using as statistics the estimated residual autocorrelations is considered from a general view point.
