Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

A comparative study on residual power series method and differential transform method through the time-fractional telegraph equation

open access: yesNonlinear Engineering
In the present era of cutting-edge technologies powering electronic devices, energy systems, and modern telecommunication, a mathematical model called the telegraph equation plays a major role. It describes the wave propagation and diffusion processes in

Estimating the tensor-to-scalar ratio and the effect of residual foreground contamination

open access: yes, 2011
We consider future balloon-borne and ground-based suborbital experiments designed to search for inflationary gravitational waves, and investigate the impact of residual foregrounds that remain in the estimated cosmic microwave background maps.

Effect of chemotherapy on passenger mutations in metastatic colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Changes in passenger mutation load and predicted immunotherapy response after chemotherapy treatment. Tumor cells rich with passenger mutations have increased sensitivity to chemotherapy. Correlation of passenger mutations with neoantigen load suggests highly mutated clones promote a more effective response to immunotherapy, and therefore, first‐line ...

Toward computational algorithm for time-fractional Fokker–Planck models

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2019
This article describes an efficient algorithm based on residual power series to approximate the solution of a class of partial differential equations of time-fractional Fokker–Planck model. The fractional derivative is assumed in the Caputo sense.

Effective transform-expansions algorithm for solving non-linear fractional multi-pantograph system

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics, 2023
This study presents a new and attractive analytical approach to treat systems with fractional multi-pantograph equations. We introduce the solution as a rapidly-converging series using the Laplace residual power series technique. This method controls the

A Pulsar Time Scale Based on Parkes Observations in 1995--2010

open access: yes, 2018
Timing of highly stable millisecond pulsars provides the possibility of independently verifying terrestrial time scales on intervals longer than a year. An ensemble pulsar time scale is constructed based on pulsar timing data obtained on the 64-m Parkes ...

Detection of circulating tumor DNA in colorectal cancer patients using a methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed a cost‐effective methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex assay containing tissue‐conserved and tumor‐specific methylation markers. The assay can detect circulating tumor DNA with high accuracy in patients with localized and metastatic colorectal cancer.

A hybrid analytical technique for solving multi-dimensional time-fractional Navier-Stokes system

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics, 2023
In this research, a hybrid method, enbd the Laplace Residual Power Series technique, is adapted to find series solutions to a time-fractional model of Navier-Stokes equations in the sense of Caputo derivative.

Developing evidence‐based, cost‐effective P4 cancer medicine for driving innovation in prevention, therapeutics, patient care and reducing healthcare inequalities

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The cancer problem is increasing globally with projections up to the year 2050 showing unfavourable outcomes in terms of incidence and cancer‐related deaths. The main challenges are prevention, improved therapeutics resulting in increased cure rates and enhanced health‐related quality of life.
