Physiological mechanism of sodium salicylate and folcisteine on alleviating salt stress in wheat seedlings

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
Soil salinization substantially hampers the growth and development of wheat, potentially leading to plant death in severe cases, thus reducing grain yield and quality. This phenomenon poses a significant threat to food security in China.

Least Squares Residuals and Minimal Residual Methods [PDF]

open access: yesSIAM Journal on Scientific Computing, 2002
We study Krylov subspace methods for solving unsymmetric linear algebraic systems that minimize the norm of the residual at each step (minimal residual (MR) methods). MR methods are often formulated in terms of a sequence of least squares (LS) problems of increasing dimension. We present several basic identities and bounds for the LS residual.

Determination of the Antioxidant Activity of Samples of Tea and Commercial Sources of Vitamin C, Using an Enzymatic Biosensor

open access: yesAntioxidants, 2021
Antioxidants are synthetic or natural compounds capable of preventing or delaying oxidative damage caused by chemical species that can oxidize cell biomolecules, such as proteins, membranes, and DNA, leading to the development of various pathologies ...

On Prefrattini residuals [PDF]

open access: yesGlasgow Mathematical Journal, 1998
All groups considered in the sequel are finite. Let (ℭ and denote the formations of groups which consist of collections of groups that respectively either split over each normal subgroup (nC-groups) or for which the groups do not possess nontrivial Frattini chief factors [8].

ETHYLENE-BIS- DITHIOCARBAMATES RESIDUES IN SOME FOOD AND THE POTENTIAL RISK FOR EGYPTIAN CONSUMERS [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Plant Protection and Pathology, 2010
Dithiocarbamates are a non-systemic group of Fungicides widely used to protect crops from fungal diseases. The current methodology used by monitoring laboratories to determine dithiocarbamates in food involves the analysis of CS2 generated after ...

Fennel‐seeds extract as an analyte protectant for the GC‐MS/MS residue analysis of 182 pesticide in strawberries: Comparing the manual mixing and sandwich injection

open access: yesJournal of Chromatography Open, 2022
The direct injection of acetonitrile sample extracts using GC-MS/MS is a challenging task in specific matrices of high polar components, like strawberries.

Residual momentum [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Empirical Finance, 2009
Conventional momentum strategies exhibit substantial time-varying exposures to the Fama and French factors. We show that these exposures can be reduced by ranking stocks on residual stock returns instead of total returns. As a consequence, residual momentum earns risk-adjusted profits that are about twice as large as those associated with total return ...

European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline and EXPeRT Recommendations for the Diagnosis and Management of Gastroenteropancreatic Neuroendocrine Neoplasms in Children and Adolescents

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...

Genomic Diversity and Clinical Variability in Pediatric Primary Cutaneous Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma: A Case Series

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Primary cutaneous anaplastic large cell lymphoma (pcALCL) is a rare pediatric CD30‐positive T‐cell lymphoproliferative disorder with an excellent prognosis, but its genomic drivers are poorly defined. We report three children with skin‐limited disease demonstrating striking molecular heterogeneity, including NPM::ALK, NUP214::FRK, and a novel ...
