This paper intends to establish basic rules for land disposal of wastes containing sodium. The assesment of sodium effect was made throug experiments under lab conditions by relating exchangeable sodium percentage (ESP), sodium adsorption rate (SAR) of the percolating solution and saturated hydraulic conductivity (Ko) in three different soil types.
