Transverse Sectioning of Arabidopsis thaliana Leaves Using Resin Embedding [PDF]
The leaf is the major functional part of the shoot performing the bulk of photosynthetic activity. Its development is relatively plastic allowing the plant to adapt to environmental changes by modifying leaf size and anatomy.

Hormone immunolabeling in resin-embedded Arabidopsis tissues
Here, we present a protocol for immunolabeling of molecules in Arabidopsis tissues. We describe steps for tissue fixation and embedding in resin of microtome-derived sections, immunolabeling using fluorescent and non-fluorescent secondary antibodies, and visualization of cytokinin and auxin molecules.

Simultaneous Acquisition of Multicolor Information From Neural Circuits in Resin-Embedded Samples
Resin embedding has been widely used for precise imaging of fluorescently labeled biological samples with optical and electron microscopy. The low preservation rate of fluorescence, especially for red fluorescent proteins, has limited the application of ...

Plastic Embedding and Sectioning of Plant Tissues
Plastic (resin) embedding provides exclusively improvements to cellular definition compared to paraffin embedding. The combination of strongly cross-linking paraformaldehyde with glutaraldehyde and post fixed with OsO4 is the fixative of choice for high ...

DNA from resin-embedded organisms: Past, present and future
Past claims have been made for fossil DNA recovery from various organisms (bacteria, plants, insects and mammals, including humans) dating back in time from thousands to several million years BP. However, many of these recoveries, especially those described from million-year-old amber (fossil resin), have faced criticism as being the result of modern ...
