Understanding Grain Boundary Electrical Resistivity in Cu: The Effect of Boundary Structure [PDF]
Grain boundaries (GBs) in metals usually increase electrical resistivity due to their distinct atomic arrangement compared to the grain interior.

Resistivity is the material property that pertains to how difficult it is for electrical current to flow through said material. Materials with high resistivity are known as insulators while materials with low resistivity are known as conductors. Spanning

Deep Learning Inversion of Electrical Resistivity Data [PDF]
The inverse problem of electrical resistivity surveys (ERSs) is difficult because of its nonlinear and ill-posed nature. For this task, traditional linear inversion methods still face challenges such as suboptimal approximation and initial model ...

Double exchange alone does not explain the resistivity of La1-xSrxMnO3. [PDF]
The ${\mathrm{La}}_{1\ensuremath{-}x}{\mathrm{Sr}}_{x}{\mathrm{MnO}}_{3}$ system with $0.2\ensuremath{\lesssim}x\ensuremath{\lesssim}0.4$ has traditionally been modeled with a ``double-exchange'' Hamiltonian in which it is assumed that the only relevant ...

Phonon-induced giant linear-in- T resistivity in magic angle twisted bilayer graphene: Ordinary strangeness and exotic superconductivity [PDF]
We theoretically show that twisted bilayer graphene should have an enhanced linear-in-temperature resistivity in the metallic regime with the resistivity magnitude increasing as the twist angle approaches the magic angle ($\sim 1^{\circ}$).

Quantum oscillations of electrical resistivity in an insulator [PDF]
Insulator or a metal? When a metal is cooled to low temperatures and placed in an external magnetic field, its resistivity may oscillate as the magnitude of the field is varied.
