Indolo‐Fused MR‐TADF Materials and their Application in Organelle‐Targeted Bioimaging

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Using indolo‐fusion and sulfur bridging, four multi‐resonance thermally activated delayed fluorescent (MR‐TADF) materials are reported based on the quinolino[3,2,1‐de]acridine‐5,9‐dione (QAO) framework. Functionalization of these dyes with phosphonium groups enables cellular imaging with mitochondrial targeting in glassy organic nanoparticles ...

Measurement and effective field theory interpretation of the photon-fusion production cross section of a pair of W bosons in proton-proton collisions at s = 13 $$ \sqrt{s}=13 $$ TeV

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
This analysis presents an observation of the photon-fusion production of W boson pairs using the CMS detector at the LHC. The total cross section of the W+W − production in photon fusion is measured using proton-proton collision data with an integrated ...

Self-induced back-action optical trapping in nanophotonic systems

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2015
Optical trapping is an indispensable tool in physics and the life sciences. However, there is a clear trade off between the size of a particle to be trapped, its spatial confinement, and the intensities required.

The Resonance Model of Fundamental Physics: A Topological Approach to Particles, Mass, and Interactions

open access: yes
This work presents a novel framework based on a resonance field model for understanding the emergence of particles, mass, and fundamental interactions. The model proposes that elementary particles arise from topological structures, specifically vortices, embedded in a continuous resonance field.

High Performance Durable Vanadium Dioxide Spectral Selective Modulation Smart Windows

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Crystallinity‐enhanced VO2 nanoparticles with a self‐limited amorphous oxidation shell achieve an order of magnitude durability improvement and high spectral selective modulation performance (luminous transmittance of 28.5%, solar modulation of 10.5%, and mid‐infrared emissivity modulation of 0.5) for smart windows.

Robust Interlayer Exciton Interplay in a Twisted van der Waals Heterotrilayer on a Broadband Bragg Reflector up to Room Temperature

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, we highlight a unique material platform capable of producing three distinct room temperature (RT) photoluminescence (PL) resonances from spatially separated regions composed of a heterobilayer (HBL), a homobilayer (HoBL), and an heterotrilayer (HTL) transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) heterostructures configuration on a highly ...

Motif Editing for Reaction Pathway Switching From Formate to CO in Single‐Atom Indium Catalysts via Adjacent Carbon Site Manipulation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents manipulation of adjacent carbon site in single‐atom indium catalysts via editing In‐N4 motif to In‐N2O2 for reaction pathway switching. Incorporation of O atoms leads to significant electron enrichment on the adjacent carbon sites surrounding the In‐N2O2 motif, which facilitates *COOH adsorption and CO formation with high selectivity.

Spin decoherence and off-resonance behavior of radio-frequency-driven spin rotations in storage rings

open access: yesPhysical Review Accelerators and Beams
High-frequency driven resonant spin rotators are routinely used as standard instruments in polarization experiments in particle and nuclear physics. Maintaining the continuous exact parametric spin resonance condition of the equality of the spin rotator ...

Decoupling Light Absorption From Photocatalytic Reactivity in TiO2 via Defect and Interfacial Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A hybrid photoprotective material integrates N‐doped TiO2 with a metal‐phenolic network (MPN) to achieve broad‐spectrum attenuation and robust reactive oxygen species (ROS) suppression. Nitrogen doping extends attenuation into the UVA/high energy visible light (HEV) regions and facilitates fast charge recombination to inhibit ROS formation.
