Mode evolution of TAE due to alpha particles and synergy with ripple loss in CFETR

open access: yesNuclear Fusion
The alpha particle should have good confinement when there are instabilities and toroidal field ripples in fusion devices. With the alpha particle slowing down distribution generated by TRANSP/NUBEAM, the Alfven eigenfunction calculated by NOVA/NOVA-K ...

Gate‐Programmable Linearization of Atomically Thin Nanoelectromechanical Resonators via Duffing Nonlinearity Cancellation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Gate bias is used to cancel Duffing nonlinearity in atomically thin MoS2 drumhead resonators, switching their response from hardening to softening and creating a nearly linear operating point. This electrical control suppresses hysteresis, enables stronger linear drive, and improves signal‐to‐noise ratio, offering a practical route to stable 2D NEMS ...

From Photoalignment to Structured Light: Liquid Crystal Platforms for Beam Shaping and Complex Wavefronts

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Photoaligned and photopatterned liquid crystal platforms provide programmable control of optical phase, polarization, and spin‐orbit interactions, enabling compact generation of structured light and complex wavefronts. This review highlights how tailored molecular orientations transform simple beams into designed optical fields, opening versatile ...

Measurement of the top-quark pair production cross section with soft muon b-tagging in pp collisions at [Square root] s = 7 TeV with the Atlas detector [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
PhDThis thesis presents a study of the measurement of the top pair production cross section in the semileptonic decay channel with soft muon b-tagging at the Atlas detector using early LHC data.

Ultrawide Bandwidth Optomechanical Magnetometry Using Flux Concentration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
High‐permeability flux concentrators enable ultrawide‐bandwidth chip‐scale optomechanical magnetometry by exploiting magnetic nonlinearity to up‐convert low‐frequency fields to the mechanical resonance, where sensitivity is optimal. This enables flat wideband operation over more than four orders of magnitude, from tens of kilohertz to sub‐hertz ...

Fusogenic RNA Nanomodules for Fusion‐Mediated and Multiplexed siRNA Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A fusogenic lipid‐layered RNA nanomodules (L‐CRAMs) enable high‐capacity and long‐lasting siRNA delivery through membrane fusion. These nanomodules carry exceptionally large siRNA payloads, avoid conventional endosomal uptake, and release multiple functional siRNAs through Dicer‐mediated processing.

Measurement of ϕ(1020) meson production in fixed-target pNe collisions at s NN $$ \sqrt{s_{NN}} $$ = 68.5 GeV

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
The first measurement of ϕ(1020) meson production in fixed-target pNe collisions at s NN $$ \sqrt{s_{NN}} $$ = 68.5 GeV is presented. The ϕ(1020) mesons are reconstructed in their K + K − decay in a data sample consisting of proton collisions on neon ...
