Numerical Analysis of Magnetic Plasmonic Resonance Modes in Three-Dimension Split Ring Resonator Metamaterials

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2019
Magnetic resonators based on metamaterials are valuable for numerous applications including perfect absorber, sensing and medical imaging. However, due to the existence of the difficulty in magnetic excitation in planar metasurface, the study of magnetic

In Situ Constructed Magnetic Core‐Shell Hydrogen‐Bonded Organic Framework‐on‐Metal–Organic Framework Structure: an Efficient Catalyst for Peroxymonosulfate Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, a magnetic core‐shell catalyst (HOF‐on‐Fe3O4/ZIF‐67) is successfully synthesized, consisting of a metal–organic framework (ZIF‐67) with magnetic Fe3O4 as the core and a porous hydrogen‐bonded organic framework (HOF) as the shell. The catalyst efficiently activated peroxymonosulfate, resulting in rapid and effective removal of water ...

Small-strain stiffness of liquefiable sands: A comparison between bender elements and resonant-column tests [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences
Soil stiffness can be estimated by geophysical and dynamic testing methods. In the laboratory, the most common methods to measure the small-strain stiffness are the bender elements (BE) and resonant-column (RC) tests. This paper focuses on the comparison

Controlled Aggregation of Pyrene‐Based Supramolecular Nanostructures for Light‐Driven Switchable H2 or H2O2 Production

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work reports the self‐assembly of a pyrene derivative into two distinct nanostructures and their application in visible‐light photocatalysis. The two nanostructures exhibit completely different yet complementary photocatalytic activities, promoting either H2 or H2O2 evolution.

Plasma Micro-Cavity of Terahertz Wave During Laser Filamentation

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2019
In this work, we focused on the resonant cavity effect of the air plasma, formed during femtosecond laser filamentation, on the near- and far-field profiles of the generated terahertz (THz) radiation.

Composition and Resulting Band Alignment at the TiO2/InP Heterointerface: A Fundamental Study Combining Photoemission Spectroscopy and Theory

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The chemical composition and band alignment are systematically investigated at the TiO2/InP heterointerface. Thin TiO2 films are deposited by ALD on atomically ordered, P‐terminated p‐InP(100). By combining UPS, XPS, and ab initio molecular dynamics, the atomistic structure and electronic alignment are revealed.

Analysis of a strip loop antenna located on the surface of an open cylindrical waveguide filled with a resonant magnetoplasma [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The electrodynamic characteristics of a circular loop antenna located on the surface of an open waveguide in the form of an axially magnetized plasma column are studied using the integral equation method.

Stability Properties of Strongly Magnetized Spine Sheath Relativistic Jets

open access: yes, 2007
The linearized relativistic magnetohydrodynamic (RMHD) equations describing a uniform axially magnetized cylindrical relativistic jet spine embedded in a uniform axially magnetized relativistically moving sheath are derived.

Tuning the Dielectric Properties of Individual Clay Nanosheets by Interlayer Composition: Toward Nano‐Electret Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The dielectric properties of clays are studied on the level of individual monolayers and functional double stacks. The material breakdown characteristics and charge storage performance are analyzed. For illustration, a defined charge pattern representing a cuneiform character is produced, written into a microscopic clay tile, referencing the origins of
