Resource Management in Diffserv On DemAnd (RODA) PHR [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
The purpose of this draft is to present the Resource Management in Diffserv (RMD) On DemAnd (RODA) Per Hop Reservation (PHR) protocol. The RODA PHR protocol is used on a per-hop basis in a Differentiated Services (Diffserv) domain and extends the ...

Cost‐effectiveness of low dose colchicine prophylaxis when starting allopurinol using the “start‐low go‐slow” approach for gout: evidence from a non‐inferiority randomised double‐blind placebo‐controlled trial.

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective The aim of this study was to investigate the cost‐effectiveness of low‐dose colchicine prophylaxis for preventing gout flares when starting allopurinol using the “start‐low go‐slow” approach. Methods Participants with gout, fulfilling the American College of Rheumatology recommendations for starting urate‐lowering therapy and with serum urate

Automatic Bandwidth Adjustment for Content Distribution in MPLS Networks

open access: yesAdvances in Multimedia, 2008
Aggregates of real-time traffic may experience changes in their statistical characteristics often manifesting non stationary behavior. In multi protocol label switching (MPLS) networks this type of the traffic is assigned constant amount of resources ...

An Adaptive Fault-Tolerant Communication Scheme for Body Sensor Networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
A high degree of reliability for critical data transmission is required in body sensor networks (BSNs). However, BSNs are usually vulnerable to channel impairments due to body fading effect and RF interference, which may potentially cause data ...

Detecting Dengue in Flight: Leveraging Machine Learning to Analyze Mosquito Flight Patterns for Infection Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
Dengue infection alters mosquito flight behavior, enabling detection using machine learning classifiers. This study analyzes 3D flight trajectories and evaluates multiple models, showing that longer sequence lengths improve classification performance.

Biomaterial Strategies for Targeted Intracellular Delivery to Phagocytes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Phagocytes are essential to a functional immune system, and their behavior defines disease outcomes. Engineered particles offer a strategic opportunity to target phagocytes, harnessing inflammatory modulation in disease. By tuning features like size, shape, and surface, these systems can modulate immune responses and improve targeted treatment for a ...

Protophilic TiOx/Ti3C2Tz Nanosheets for Hyper‐Efficient Closed‐Loop Pd Recycling

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Protophilic TiOx/Ti3C2Tz NSs enable selective Pd(II) recovery through in situ adsorption‐reduction into Pd(0) NPs from spent catalyst leachates and industrial wastewaters. The resulting Pd/NS composites are directly upcycled as efficient HER electrocatalysts or regenerated for reuse through controlled surface regeneration.
