Photosynthetic Acclimation of Larch to the Coupled Effects of Light Intensity and Water Deficit in Regions with Changing Water Availability

open access: yesPlants
The impact of frequent water deficits on dominant tree species in boreal forests has received increased attention, particularly towards addressing the global climate change scenarios.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Behavioral, Hematological, Histological, Physiological Regulation and Gene Expression in Response to Heat Stress in Amur Minnow (Phoxinus lagowskii)

open access: yesFishes
Rising water temperatures due to climate change pose a significant threat to Phoxinus lagowskii, a cold-water fish that is ecologically vital to the high-latitude regions of China.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Hierarchical triple-channel architectures unlock scalable and high-efficient uranium extraction from seawater

open access: yesNature Communications
The ocean holds ~4.5 billion tons of uranium, a vast yet underexploited resource for sustainable nuclear energy. However, current seawater uranium adsorbents suffer from poor macroscale structures, limited mass transfer, and inefficient functional group ...

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Resveratrol loaded glycyrrhizic acid-conjugated human serum albumin nanoparticles for tail vein injection II: pharmacokinetics, tissue distribution and bioavailability

open access: yesDrug Delivery, 2020
There are many kinds of biological activities of resveratrol itself, but its clinical application is limited by its poor solubility in water and low bioavailability.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Root-Zone Temperature Drives Coordinated Photosynthesis, Root Architecture, and Metabolism Responses in Schisandra chinensis (Trucz.) Baill

open access: yesPlants
Soil warming due to climate change has a significant potential impact on crop yield and quality. Schisandra chinensis (Trucz.) Baill, a multipurpose plant disseminated in the highly climate-sensitive region of Northeast Asia, is affected by soil warming,
