Molecular mechanisms and therapeutic targets of acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease with Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection

open access: yesRespiratory Research
Background Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a leading cause of global mortality, with acute exacerbations of COPD (AECOPD) significantly increasing the disease’s morbidity and mortality.

Efficiency of neural respiratory drive changes during non-invasive ventilation and high-flow nasal cannula oxygen therapy in AECOPD patients with acute hypercapnic respiratory failure: A randomised cross-over study

open access: yesAnnals of Intensive Care
Background: Non-invasive ventilation (NIV) is recommended as the first-line treatment for patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD) complicated by decompensated hypercapnic acute respiratory failure (ARF).

Engineering Nanoplatforms for Alzheimer's Disease Detection via Biomolecular Corona Proteomic and Lipidomic Profiling

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Engineered nanoparticles capture disease‐specific biomolecular coronas that uncover hidden molecular features of Alzheimer's disease. Combined proteomic and lipidomic analyses reveal a characteristic shift in ribosomal machinery and energy metabolism, generating a multiomic fingerprint that supports accurate disease detection and opens new ...

Nanomaterial Strategies for Pulmonary Delivery of Immunotherapeutics in Lung Cancer Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Inhalable immunotherapeutic nanomedicines enable organ‐selective immune modulation by overcoming pulmonary delivery barriers and concentrating therapy within lung tumors. This Review defines how nanomaterial properties govern airway deposition, retention, cellular partitioning, and immune activation across vaccines, checkpoint blockade, STING agonists,
