Identification of intimin alleles in pathogenic Escherichia coli by PCR-restriction fragment length polymorphism analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
A rapid two-step identification method based on PCR-RFLP analysis of the intimin gene was developed to differentiate specific alleles in pathogenic Escherichia coli.

Resolution of Joint Molecules by RuvABC and RecG Following Cleavage of the Escherichia coli Chromosome by EcoKI [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
DNA double-strand breaks can be repaired by homologous recombination involving the formation and resolution of Holliday junctions. In Escherichia coli, the RuvABC resolvasome and the RecG branch-migration enzyme have been proposed to act in alternative ...

YAP1::TFE3 mediates endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal plasticity in epithelioid hemangioendothelioma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The YAP1::TFE3 fusion protein drives endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EndMT) plasticity, resulting in the loss of endothelial characteristics and gain of mesenchymal‐like properties, including resistance to anoikis, increased migratory capacity, and loss of contact growth inhibition in endothelial cells.

Differentiation of Pseudomonas syringae subsp. savastonoi strains isolated from various host plants by restriction fragment lengh polymorphism

open access: yesPhytopathologia Mediterranea, 2002
A 1.8 kb DNA fragment encoding a putative protein similar to precorrin-3 methylase, a protein of Pseudomonas aeruginosa involved in cobalamin biosynthesis, was cloned from an olive strain of the plant pathogenic bacterium Pseudomonas syringae subsp ...

Emerging role of ARHGAP29 in melanoma cell phenotype switching

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study gives first insights into the role of ARHGAP29 in malignant melanoma. ARHGAP29 was revealed to be connected to tumor cell plasticity, promoting a mesenchymal‐like, invasive phenotype and driving tumor progression. Further, it modulates cell spreading by influencing RhoA/ROCK signaling and affects SMAD2 activity. Rho GTPase‐activating protein

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

EPIDEMIOLOGICAL SURVEY OF DIFFERENT RABIES VIRUS STRAINS IN IRAN [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Sciences, Islamic Republic of Iran, 2001
Rabies is widespread in all provinces of Iran. This study presents an investigation by a Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) technique for the purpose of rabies diagnosis and also Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism (RFLP) for determination of the type ...

Genetic Diversity of Yeasts from Fermented Orange Juice Based on PCR-RFLP and Sequence Analysis of the Internal Transcribed Spacer Regions

open access: yesMicrobiology Indonesia, 2010
Orange is one of the most valuable and common fruits in Indonesia. High glucose level in orange juice provides good growth conditions for yeasts. In this study, yeasts were isolated from fermented orange juice and subjected to diversity analysis.

Patient‐specific pharmacogenomics demonstrates xCT as predictive therapeutic target in colon cancer with possible implications in tumor connectivity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...

A proof-theoretic semantics for contextual domain restriction

open access: yesJournal of Language Modelling, 2015
The paper presents a proof-theoretic semantics account of contextual domain restriction for quantified sentences in a fragment of English. First, the technique is exemplified in the more familiar first-order logic, and in its restricted quantification ...
