Targeted protein degradation in oncology: novel therapeutic opportunity for solid tumours?

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Current anticancer therapies are limited by the occurrence of resistance and undruggability of most proteins. Targeted protein degraders are novel, promising agents that trigger the selective degradation of previously undruggable proteins through the recruitment of the ubiquitin–proteasome machinery. Their mechanism of action raises exciting challenges,

Genetic Analysis of Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphisms in Vitis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The parents and progeny from two crosses (Cayuga White x Aurore and NY62.136.2 x Yates) were examined for the presence of DNA restriction fragment length polymorphisms (RFLPs).

Determination of ADP/ATP translocase isoform ratios in malignancy and cellular senescence

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The individual functions of three isoforms exchanging ADP and ATP (ADP/ATP translocases; ANTs) on the mitochondrial membrane remain unclear. We developed a method for quantitatively differentiating highly similar human ANT1, ANT2, and ANT3 using parallel reaction monitoring. This method allowed us to assess changes in translocase levels during cellular

Discrimination of Two Species of Orangutans (Pongo SP.): a Rapid Protocol for Rehabilitation Centres and Zoos [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Currently orangutans exist in increasingly fragmented and isolated populations. While Sumatran orangutan is primarily found in northern Sumatra, the Bornean is distributed in Central, West, and East Kalimantan, Sarawak and Sabah.

Evaluation of KRAS and NRAS mutations in metastatic colorectal cancer: an 8‐year study of 10 754 patients in Turkey

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This nationwide study evaluated KRAS and NRAS mutations in 10 754 Turkish patients with metastatic colorectal cancer. The results revealed a mutation frequency of 51.1%, with 46.6% having KRAS mutations, 4.5% having NRAS mutations, and 48.5% being wild‐type for both.

Genomic variability of the Xanthomonas pathovar mangiferaeindica, agent of mango bacterial black spot [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
The genetic diversity of 138 strains of the #Xanthomonas# pathovar mangiferaeindicae, which were isolated from three different hosts (mango, ambarella, and pepper tree) in 14 different countries, was assessed with restriction fragment length polymorphism
