Study on Phosphorus Variability Characteristics and Response Mechanism of Microbial Community during Sediment Resuspension Process

open access: yesSeparations
Submerged plants and related disturbances can affect both the phosphorus (P) release and the microbial communities in sediments. In this study, a sediment resuspension system was constructed, and P variability characteristics influenced by Vallisneria ...

Mechanisms, measurement and importance of sediment resuspension in lakes

open access: yes, 1995
The process of sediment resuspension in lakes influences lake metabolism by causing turbidity and cycling of particulate material. Wind, currents and morphometry of the lake basin are the most important causes of resuspension.

Reynolds number dependence of particle resuspension in turbulent duct flows [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Particle resuspension in a fully developed turbulent square duct flow is simulated using one-way coupled large eddy simulation coupled with a Lagrangian particle tracking technique for a range of bulk Reynolds numbers (36.5 k, 83 k and 250 k) and four ...

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Resuspension von Partikeln aus Tierställen

open access: yes, 2009
To give more accurate prognosis for a simulation model, on the one hand the determination of emission factors has a great significance. Furthermore the transmission parameter should be included likewise in such calculations.

Overview of resuspension model: application to low level waste management [PDF]

open access: yes, 1980
Resuspension is one of the potential pathways to man for radioactive or chemical contaminants that are in the biosphere. In waste management, spills or other surface contamination can serve as a source for resuspension during the operational phase. After

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.
