Association Between Sleep Quality and Oxidative Stress in Postoperative Cardiovascular Patients—A Pilot Study

open access: yesJournal of Sleep Research, Volume 35, Issue 5, October 2026.
In 15 postoperative cardiac surgery patients, venous reactive oxygen species (ROS) measured by electron spin resonance (ESR) over 48 h showed no consistent circadian pattern. Higher ROS was associated with lower subjective sleep efficiency and more nocturnal awakenings, but not with other sleep measures.

QT Interval Evaluation in Right Ventricular Pacing: Validation of a Novel Formula

open access: yesPacing and Clinical Electrophysiology, Volume 49, Issue 10, Page 1455-1463, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Background QT interval measurement in the presence of right ventricular pacing (RVP) represents a clinical challenge. We therefore aimed to derive and validate a formula for QT estimation during RVP in a large cohort of pacemaker patients. Methods and Results We prospectively enrolled 100 patients in a derivation cohort and 487 in a validation

Left Bundle Branch Area Pacing Reverts Electromechanical Window Negativity to a Similar Extent as Biventricular Pacing

open access: yesPacing and Clinical Electrophysiology, Volume 49, Issue 10, Page 1464-1472, October 2026.
BiVP = biventricular pacing; CRT = cardiac resynchronization therapy; EMW = electromechanical window; LBBAP = left bundle branch area pacing; QAoC = Time interval from the onset of the QRS complex to the center of the aortic valve closure artifact; QT = QT interval measured by tangent method.

Safety and Performance of INVICTA DF4 Ventricular Defibrillation Lead: Results From APOLLO Prospective Multicenter Study

open access: yesPacing and Clinical Electrophysiology, Volume 49, Issue 10, Page 1595-1603, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Implantable cardioverter‐defibrillator (ICD) therapy relies on reliable right ventricular leads for pacing, sensing, and defibrillation. The INVICTA DF4 lead is an active‐fixation, quadripolar design intended to optimize implant workflow and long‐term safety and performance. Methods APOLLO was a prospective, multicenter, single‐arm,

An eikonal model with re‐excitability for fast simulations in cardiac electrophysiology

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, Volume 604, Issue 19, Page 8264-8283, 1 October 2026.
Abstract figure legend Restitution properties obtained from cable‐equation simulations and anisotropic remeshing informed by local fibre orientation are combined in an eikonal model with re‐excitability. The resulting reduced electrophysiology model enables efficient simulations of recurrent activation patterns, here illustrated by atrial re‐entry ...

Anti-Cropping Blind Resynchronization for 3D Watermarking

open access: yes, 2015
International audienceRadial-based 3D watermarking alters the distances between the center of mass of the 3D mesh and its vertices. These watermarking systems are inherently sensitive to cropping.
