When Nature Counts: Corporate Biodiversity Attention and Access to Bank Finance

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper investigates whether corporate attention to biodiversity influences firms' access to bank loans, an overlooked question in the emerging biodiversity–finance literature. Using a novel, text‐based measure constructed from 446 biodiversity‐related keywords and applied to Chinese A‐share listed firms from 2000 to 2023, we show that ...

Comparative Analysis of Metal Preloading Technologies in Batteries and Capacitors

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
Metal preloading strategies play an important role in efficient batteries and hybrid capacitors to compensate for the consumed metals at the first discharge. This article reviews recent progress in preloading technologies in lithium‐ion and other metal‐ion systems.

Near‐Infrared Light‐Driven Photocatalysis: From Advanced Light‐Harvesting Architectures to Rational Reactor Design

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
This review systematically elucidates the regulatory strategies for NIR light, encompassing macroscopic mechanisms such as band engineering, localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR), upconversion luminescence, and photosensitizer molecules. Furthermore, it provides an in‐depth discussion on their cutting‐edge applications in energy conversion (e.g ...

Kv3.1 activation suppresses provoked and spontaneous seizures in a mouse Dravet syndrome model

open access: yesEpilepsia, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective γ‐Aminobutyric acidergic (GABAergic) parvalbumin‐positive (PV+) interneurons are critical for maintaining cortical inhibitory tone, with their dysfunction predictably leading to epilepsy. Rapid PV+ interneuron firing is essential for their normal function and is maintained in part by potassium voltage‐gated channels.

A secondary RET mutation in the activation loop conferring resistance to vandetanib

open access: yesNature Communications, 2018
Mechanisms of acquired resistance to RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors in lung cancers are largely unknown. Here, the authors report in a lung adenocarcinoma patient harboring a CCDC6-RET mutation in the RET kinase (S904F) that results in resistance to the ...

Adeno‐associated virus‐mediated restoration of NaV1.1 in targeted brain regions ameliorates epilepsy in symptomatic Dravet syndrome mice

open access: yesEpilepsia, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective Dravet syndrome (DS) is a developmental and epileptic encephalopathy primarily caused by haploinsufficiency of the SCN1A gene, which encodes the alpha subunit of NaV1.1 voltage‐gated sodium channel. The disease manifests with febrile and spontaneous seizures, developmental delay, cognitive impairment, and increased risk of sudden ...
