Since larger compound eyes and ocelli altogether improve vision, one may expect that insects specialised in chasing very mobile resources possess such morphological optimisation. By analysing 77 species of bees and wasps, we have found that wasps had larger eyes, but not larger ocelli, than bees.

Field‐free programmable bipolar magnetic heterostructures for neuromorphic computing
Neuromorphic computing mimics the brain's efficiency, yet typical memristors lack biological synapses' dual signal control. We introduce a magnetic memristor enabling bidirectional, multi‐state modulation without external fields, validated in image feature extraction and neural clustering.

Congenital Ocular Findings in an Antillean Manatee (Trichechus manatus manatus)
This study reports the first documented case of bilateral congenital cataract associated with retinal dysplasia in an Antillean manatee (Trichechus manatus manatus) calf. Ophthalmologic examination and ocular ultrasonography confirmed lens opacity at the posterior pole, which correlated with behavioural deficits consistent with visual impairment.
