Retinal Telangiectasis and Proliferation of the Retinal Vessels in a Family
Ophthalmologica, 2010A 20-year-old woman presented with a marked proliferative retinopathy of the entire central region of the retina in both eyes, with veil-like epiretinal gliovascular membranes and isolated spots of haemorrhaging. The outer region of the retina was unremarkable. Her 49-year-old mother showed perimacular telangiectases in both eyes.

In vivo micropuncture of retinal vessels

We report here our extension of micropuncture techniques [4] to use in the intact retina of the anesthetized cat.

Joining retinal vessel segments
2008 8th IEEE International Conference on BioInformatics and BioEngineering, 2008A new method is introduced for joining vessel segments together to form a vessel graph. Using a reference image set from the Sunderland Eye Infirmary, we analysed the retinal bifurcation geometry, to define measurements for the geometrical junction features. These distinctive measurements are employed to resolve the junctions.

In vivo cannulation of retinal vessels

We developed a microsurgical technique for cannulating rabbit and cat retinal vessels, using glass micropipettes with curved shanks made from standard capillary tubing.
