Retina, 1993Cytomegalovirus (CMV) retinitis has been well documented in the literature, both in patients with acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) and in other immunocompromised hosts. The clinical and histopathologic findings in three patients with AIDS and CMV retinitis are presented.

Retinal Dialyses and Retinal Detachment
Archives of Ophthalmology, 1968The data from 131 eyes operated upon by one of us (W.S.H.) for retinal detachment due to dialysis in a consecutive series of 1,352 eyes operated for retinal detachment were analyzed. Dialyses were found to be a common cause (10%) of all retinal detachment and are the most common cause (50%) of retinal detachments in children and young adults.
