A Retrial BMAP/PH/N queueing system with Markov modulated retrials

2012 2nd Baltic Congress on Future Internet Communications, 2012
A retrial multi-server queueing model with a Batch Markovian Arrival Process (BMAP) and phase-type (PH-type) service time distribution is analyzed. The rate of individual repeated attempts from the orbit is modulated according to a Markov Modulated Poisson Process (MMPP).

Schedules and Retrials

2003
This chapter deals with models where customers choose their time of arrival. Such models contain some non-stationary element like known times that a service facility is open, a scheduled (possibly periodic) service, or information about the state of the queue in past instants ...

Retrial queues

Top, 1999
This is a short summary of a part of the history of retrial queues with emphasis on the preparation of the book ``Retrial queues'' by \textit{G. Falin} and \textit{J. G. C. Templeton} [London: Chapman \& Hall/CRC Press (1997)].

A retrial queueing model with thresholds and phase type retrial times

2020
Summary: There is an extensive literature on retrial queueing models. While a majority of the literature on retrial queueing models focuses on the retrial times to be exponentially distributed (so as to keep the state space to be of a reasonable size), a few papers deal with nonexponential retrial times but with some additional restrictions such as ...

Retrial queues and networks with constant retrial rate

2010
In the talk we review the results about retrial queues and networks with constant retrial rate. Speci fically we consider a network of queues with finite waiting room capacities. Jobs travel through the network by paths given by some routing matrix. If a job fi nds a queue with no available waiting space it goes into the orbit queue corresponding to ...
