The relationship between selenium and viral diseases

This review describes the application and research progress of selenium in antiviral therapy. Starting from the biological functions of selenium, this paper discusses the association of selenium with a variety of viral diseases and analyzes in depth the antiviral mechanisms of selenium, including its immunomodulatory and antioxidant effects.
