Studies on physical properties of wine palm and Roselle natural fibers
In this work, fiber strands of Wine Palm (Caryota urens) and Roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa) plants were extracted and characterized. The extracted fiber strands were given water treatment for making comparisons with its dried counterpart.

The Response to Fines and Probability of Detection in a Series of Experiments [PDF]
We use traffic data from a series of experiments in the United States and Israel to examine how illegal behavior is deterred by various penalty schemes and whether deterrence varies with age, income, driving record and criminal record.

Effect of processing‐induced thermal degradation on the mechanical performance of thermoplastic flax fiber composites. ABSTRACT The drawback of biobased polymer matrix composites (PMCs) is their limited temperature stability, resulting from degradation, which restricts their processability in established composite manufacturing processes requiring ...

Ultrasonographic evaluation of ulnar innervated muscles in ulnar neuropathy at the elbow
Abstract Background Quantitative muscle ultrasound (qMUS) provides morphological measurements that can support clinical observation of muscle atrophy and weakness. As the use of qMUS continues to expand, and its potential for broader implementation in neuromuscular evaluation grows, there is a clear need for further validation, particularly in ...

ABSTRACT Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a severe form of dementia, which occurrence increases with age and lifestyle conditions. It is characterized by amyloid protein accumulation forming senile plaques, hyperphosphorylated tau protein forming neurofibrillary tangles, neuroinflammation, and oxidative stress, leading to synapse loss and cell death ...
