A Review on MXene Terminations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Surface terminations play a decisive role in determining the properties of MXenes. Their coordination, composition and stoichiometry can be tuned both during synthesis and through post synthesis methods to tailor MXenes for optimum performance in applications. This review explores the present understanding of surface terminations.

Reverberation chamber and its verification for acoustic measurements

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2016
Reverberation rooms are useful for measurement of the acoustic quantities of machines that operate in long cycles, however, current reverberation chamber design practices often lead to known issues with reproducibility and repeatability of measured data.

Lymphoid and CXCR4 Cell Targeted Lipid Nanoparticles Facilitate HIV‐1 Proviral DNA Excision

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Advancements in ART improve HIV‐1 patient outcomes but are unable to eliminate latent viral DNA. To address this, CXCR4‐targeted lipid nanoparticles (T‐LNPs) for delivering CRISPR‐Cas9 to excise HIV‐1 DNA in infected cells are developed. These T‐LNPs achieve ≈60% HIV‐1 DNA excision efficacy in blood and splenic tissue, demonstrating promise for ...

Characterization of Reverberation Chambers for OTA Measurements of Wireless Devices: Physical Formulations of Channel Matrix and New Uncertainty Formula [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The paper deals with reverberation chambers for over-the-air (OTA) testing of wireless devices for use in multipath. We present a formulation of the S-parameters of a reverberation chamber in terms of the free space S-parameters of the antennas, and the ...

A Novel Brain Penetrable Nanocarrier Delivers Brain‐Derived Neurotrophic Factor to Treat Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A novel blood‐brain barrier‐penetrating terpolymer nanoparticle to deliver brain‐derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease (AD) is designed. The BDNF‐TPN significantly enhances BDNF accumulation in the brain following intravenous injection, reduces apoptosis and neuroinflammation, thus promoting neuronal survival and ...

A Patient‐Specific 3D Printed Carotid Artery Model Integrating Vascular Structure, Flow, and Endothelium Responses

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces the first miniaturized, patient‐specific carotid artery model created via 3D printing using GelMA with embedded vascular cells. Combining CFD, PIV, and flow perfusion, the model replicates anatomically dependent hemodynamics and cellular responses.
