Circulating reverse triiodothyronine (rT3) in the dog
Life Sciences, 1977Abstract Plasma reverse triiodothyronine (rT 3 ) concentration was measured by radio immunoassay (RIA) in a group of 15 dogs. The mean rT 3 concentration was 187 ng/100 ml which was 3 times higher than radioimmunoassayable triiodothyronine (T 3 ) concentration.

Circulating reverse triiodothyronine in humans during exercise
European Journal of Applied Physiology and Occupational Physiology, 1981Circulating thyroxine (T4), triiodothyronine (T3) and reverse triiodothyronine (rT3) as well as blood lactate and glucose concentrations were measured in a group of 12 trained volunteer subjects prior to and after swimming 0.18 or 0.9 km, to determine if increase in metabolic activity was accompanied by diversion of T4 monodeiodination from the active (

The Seasonal Reversal of the Stratospheric Circulation
Journal of Applied Meteorology, 1975Abstract The mean and individual seasonal reversal progressions are described for each of the 11 years of available rocket observations from 80°N to 80°S, and from 20 to 65 km. Isochrone sections were based on the time sections of the preceding paper and on frequencies of east-west wind data.

Reverse Circulation Underreaming Utilizing Air Lift
SPE California Regional Meeting, 1979Abstract This paper focuses on a new application of underreaming a well bore utilizing an air lift reverse circulation drilling system to increase reservoir production. The theory used and the equipment built thus far is presented and discussed. presented and discussed.

Three-layered circulation in reverse estuaries
Continental Shelf Research, 1996Abstract Driven by an upper-layer density deficit and lower-layer density surplus from an adjacent sea, circulation in an estuarine embayment may be three-layered, with top and bottom inflows separated by a mid-layer outflow. The characteristics of this type of circulation as functions of density forcing, background stratification and lateral depth ...

Disturbed Sampling Using Reverse Circulation
Geological Society, London, Engineering Geology Special Publications, 1986Abstract The exploration of unconsolidated and semi-consolidated strata is generally undertaken using shell and auger and continuous flight augering techniques. These methods have serious limitations, especially when accurate sampling is required below the water table.

Arc reversal in nonhamiltonian circulant oriented graphs
Journal of Graph Theory, 2005AbstractLocke and Witte described infinite families of nonhamiltonian circulant oriented graphs. We show that for infinitely many of them the reversal of any arc produces a hamiltonian cycle. This solves an open problem stated by Thomassen in 1987. We also use these graphs to construct counterexamples to Ádám's conjecture on arc reversal.

Reverse-circulation drilling is designed specifically for the construction of production water wells, but is readily adaptable to soil exploration uses, foundation projects, and underwater drilling. The method is an adaptation of the dredge to vertical holes, which permits construction of moderate to large diameter holes of any depth to several hundred
