The Analysis and Solution of Current Differential Protection Maloperation for Transmission Line with High Series Compensation Degree

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
With the increasing integration of huge-size generators and tighter interconnection among power grids, in internal fault, the fault current of Series Compensated (SC) lines may be reversed.

Bouncing transient currents and SQUID-like voltage in nano devices at half filling

open access: yes, 2009
Nanorings asymmetrically connected to wires show different kinds of quantum interference phenomena under sudden excitations and in steady current conditions.

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

The a-SiC/c-Si(n) Isotype Heterojunction as a High Sensitivity Temperature Sensor

open access: yesActive and Passive Electronic Components, 1998
The a-SiC/c-Si(n) isotype heterojunction has been studied as a temperature sensor by measuring its reverse current-voltage (IR−V) and reverse voltage-temperature (V-T) characteristics, as well as its reverse current temperature dependence.

Ranolazine Attenuates the Enhanced Reverse Na+-Ca2+ Exchange Current via Inhibiting Hypoxia-Increased Late Sodium Current in Ventricular Myocytes

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacological Sciences, 2014
Ranolazine (RAN), a novel antianginal agent, inhibits the increased late sodium current (INa.L) under many pathological conditions. In this study, the whole-cell patch-clamp technique was used to explore the effects of RAN on INa.L and reverse Na+/Ca2 ...

Supercurrent as a Probe for Topological Superconductivity in Magnetic Adatom Chains

open access: yes, 2017
A magnetic adatom chain, proximity coupled to a conventional superconductor with spin-orbit coupling, exhibits locally an odd-parity, spin-triplet pairing amplitude. We show that the singlet-triplet junction, thus formed, leads to a net spin accumulation

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Asymptotic solution of a model for bilayer organic diodes and solar cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The current voltage characteristics of an organic semiconductor diode made by placing together two materials with dissimilar electron affinities and ionisation potentials is analysed using asymptotic methods.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.
