Bluetongue diagnosis by reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction.
Bluetongue virus (BTV) is the prototype member of the genus Orbivirus, family Reoviridae. The BTV serogroup contains 24 serotypes. Diagnostic tests currently used for the detection of BTV involve the isolation and growth of virus isolates in eggs or mice, followed by passaging in tissue culture. The virus is subsequently characterised using serological

XLP mitigated CPT11 mucositis by suppressing GUS‐expressing microbes, notably L. reuteri, and diminishing bacterial GUS activity, consequently reducing SN38 accumulation to protect the intestinal epithelium. This preservation of the mucosal stem cell niche enabled rapid regeneration of secretory lineages such as mucin‐producing goblet cells, which ...

MLL/GAS7 fusion in a pediatric case of t(11;17)(q23;p13)-positive precursor B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia [PDF]
AML/GAS7, resulting from t(11;17)(q23;p13), has been reported in one case of treatment-related acute myeloid leukemia (AML). We present a de novo case of t(11;17)-positive pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Chloride channels ClC-2 and ICln mRNA expression differs in renal epithelial ontogeny [PDF]
Chloride channels ClC-2 and ICln mRNA expression differs in renal epithelial ontogeny. Development-dependent mRNA expression of the chloride channels ClC-2 and ICln was studied by quantitative reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction in rat ...

Sympathetic nerve innervation promotes the progression of Epstein‐Barr virus‐positive diffuse large B‐cell lymphoma (EBV+ DLBCL) via β2‐adrenergic receptors. The discovery of enhanced nerve infiltration and β2AR expression reveals a novel mechanism and highlights the sympathetic–β2AR axis as a promising target for therapeutic intervention in EBV+ DLBCL.

ACLY is vital for early embryo development. IGF‐1 activates AKT to phosphorylate ACLY, driving its nuclear localization and recruitment of HATs (P300/HAT1), boosting acetyl‐CoA production and histone acetylation for transcriptional activation. Conversely, ACLY deficiency (via knockdown, knockout, or AKT inhibition) reduces nuclear acetyl‐CoA, disrupts ...

Analysis of clinical information and reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction for early diagnosis of enteroviral meningitis [PDF]
PurposeMeningitis is among the most common infections affecting the central nervous system. It can be difficult to determine the exact pathogen responsible for the infection and patients are often treated with empiric antibiotics.

Overexpression of matrix metalloproteinase 9 in tumor epithelial cells correlates with colorectal cancer metastasis. [PDF]
Colorectal cancer mortality largely reflects metastasis, the spread of the disease to distant organs. Matrix metalloproteinase 9 (MMP-9) is a key regulator of metastasis and a target for anticancer strategies in colon cancer.
