Word order in the context of extensional and intensional events in Austrian Sign Language (ÖGS)

open access: yesGlossa
This study examines the impact of the semantics of events and their participants on syntax (word order) in Austrian Sign Language (ÖGS), replicating and extending findings on other sign languages (Napoli et al. 2017). We tested the hypothesis that in the

Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

The effect of semantic reversibility of agent-target of transitive utterances on utterance structure in Bisindo Yogyakarta

open access: yesLitera
The flexibility of utterance structure can be influenced by semantic factors. At this level, structures can vary in terms of the positions of the constituents, namely subject, predicate, or object.

Spatial and single‐nuclei transcriptomics reveals idiosyncratic and generic patterns in papillary and anaplastic thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Matched spatial transcriptomics and single‐nuclei RNA‐seq were generated for anaplastic and BRAFV600E papillary thyroid cancers revealing generic and tumor‐specific states occurring in cancer cells and in the tumor microenvironment. In this context, cancer dedifferentiation mirrored organoid maturation through ordered thyroid marker gain/loss ...

Changes in frailty and incident risk of degenerative bone and joint diseases and their multimorbidity: a prospective cohort study

open access: yesFrontiers in Public Health
BackgroundFrailty reflects multisystem physiological vulnerability and has been associated with an array of adverse health outcomes. However, evidence on how frailty and its longitudinal changes relate to degenerative bone and joint diseases (DBJDs) and ...

Bisimulations and Reversibility

open access: yes
Concurrency and causality can be expressed within a labelled transition system by exploiting reversibility of transitions. It is natural to ask what behavioural equivalences can be captured by bisimulations in the reversible setting. In this paper we work with keyed configuration structures and CCS K, establish an operational correspondence between the

Targeting transcription factors associated with hemoglobinopathies: Lessons from successful interventions and implications for cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review summarizes the transcription factors, repressive chromatin‐modifying complexes, and epigenetic mechanisms that control fetal hemoglobin repression. Notably, many regulators of γ‐globin silencing also function in transcriptional and epigenetic networks that drive cancer, highlighting opportunities to translate advances in hemoglobinopathy ...

Immuncontraception Reversibility Test of Goat Zona Pellucida-3 (gZP3) on Mice (Mus musculus)

open access: yesHayati Journal of Biosciences, 2006
The aim of this study was to prove the reversibility of gZP3 protein on mice as an animal model. Treatment group of mice (Mus musculus) were immunized with 40 g goat zona pellucida-3 (gZP3) as an anti fertility agent. Control group of mice were injected

The Thermodynamic and Gelation Properties of Ovalbumin and Lysozyme

open access: yesGels
Ovalbumin (OVA) and lysozyme (LYZ) are the predominant globular proteins in egg white and play a crucial role in influencing thermal stability and colloidal behavior.

Reversed Bodies, Reversed Brains, and (Some) Reversed Behaviors: Of Zebrafish and Men [PDF]

open access: yesDevelopmental Cell, 2005
Although zebrafish with situs inversus show complete reversal of normal visceral and cerebral asymmetries, they show left-right reversal of only some behaviors, with others continuing to show species-typical lateralization. The implication is that, as in humans, there are at least two independent mechanisms for generating asymmetry.
