Interferon beta drives therapy resistance in a patient‐derived model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Interferon type 1 (IFN‐1) production and signaling is associated with the acquisition of therapy resistance, following chronic DNA damage, via Interferon‐related DNA damage resistance signature (IRDS) gene expression. An alternative, DNA damage‐independent role of sustained IFN‐1 mediated resistance was identified and characterized by the emergence of ...

ADP‐ribosylation: An emerging regulator of the epigenome

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ADP‐ribosylation has emerged as a dynamic epigenetic signaling mechanism that modifies histones and chromatin‐associated proteins. Through coordinated PARylation and MARylation, it integrates with other histone modifications to regulate chromatin structure, transcription factor activity, and gene expression, influencing genome function and disease ...

Reciprocal Sum Expression for Steady-state Current–potential Curve in Electrocatalytic Model: The Relationship between Desorption Process and Reversibility

open access: yesElectrochemistry
Steady-state current–potential curves are often used to evaluate electrocatalysts. Steady-state current is generally expressed as a sum of reciprocals. Previously, we proposed that the catalytic reaction should be considered and that the inverse of the ...

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Reversible Computation and Reversible Programming Languages

open access: yesElectronic Notes in Theoretical Computer Science, 2010
AbstractA reversible programming language supports deterministic forward and backward computation. This tutorial focuses on a high-level reversible programming language Janus. In common with other programming paradigms, reversible programming has its own programming methodology. Janus is simple, yet powerful, and its constructs can serve as a model for

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Suppression of lung adenocarcinoma migration through organelle alkalization by human lactoferrin – albumin fusion

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This paper reveals how human lactoferrin–albumin fusion (hLF‐HSA) potently suppresses lung adenocarcinoma cell migration. hLF‐HSA upregulates NHE7, leading to Golgi alkalization, disruption of the Golgi secretome, downregulation of MMP1, and reversal of EMT. These findings suggest a novel Golgi‐targeting strategy to suppress cancer cell migration.

tKeima: A Large-Stokes-Shift Platform for Metal Ion Detection

open access: yesBiosensors
Detection of metal ions under complex and heterogeneous conditions is crucial for food safety, environmental monitoring, and cellular studies. Fluorescent proteins (FPs) are attractive biosensors due to their ease of expression, strong emission without ...

On the Construction of Reversible Automata for Reversible Languages [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Reversible languages occur in many different domains. Although the decision for the membership of reversible languages was solved in 1992 by Pin, an effective construction of a reversible automaton for a reversible language was still unknown. We give in this paper a method to compute a reversible automaton from the minimal automaton of a reversible ...
