DNA methylation and expression of MAPRE3 affect overall survival of early‐stage non‐small cell lung cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Both cg12821679MAPRE3 methylation and MAPRE3 expression are significantly associated with overall survival (OS) of non‐small cell lung cancer. Meanwhile, MAPRE3 expression significantly modified the effect of smoking cessation on OS. Smoking cessation benefits OS merely for patients with high MAPRE3 expression.

The Thermodynamic and Gelation Properties of Ovalbumin and Lysozyme

open access: yesGels
Ovalbumin (OVA) and lysozyme (LYZ) are the predominant globular proteins in egg white and play a crucial role in influencing thermal stability and colloidal behavior.

On time-reversibility of linear stochastic models

open access: yes, 2013
Reversal of the time direction in stochastic systems driven by white noise has been central throughout the development of stochastic realization theory, filtering and smoothing.

Forcing the reversibility of a mechanochemical reaction

open access: yesNature Communications, 2018
Mechanical force modifies the free-energy surface of chemical reactions, often enabling thermodynamically unfavoured reaction pathways. Most of our molecular understanding of force-induced reactivity is restricted to the irreversible homolytic scission ...

Reversible Cardiomyopathies

open access: yesClinical Medicine Insights: Cardiology, 2015
Cardiomyopathies (CMs) have many etiological factors that can result in severe structural and functional dysregulation. Fortunately, there are several potentially reversible CMs that are known to improve when the root etiological factor is addressed. In this article, we discuss several of these reversible CMs, including tachycardia-induced, peripartum,

Mycobacterial cell division arrest and smooth‐to‐rough envelope transition using CRISPRi‐mediated genetic repression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing and phenotypic exploration in nontuberculous mycobacteria. In this Research Protocol, we describe approaches to control, monitor, and quantitatively assess CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing in M. smegmatis and M. abscessus model organisms.

La pénétration des adhésifs de doublage

open access: yesCeROArt : Conservation, Exposition, Restauration d'Objets d'Art, 2013
The reversibility of linings is complex and intimately linked to the penetration of adhesives into the original canvas. The aim of the research was to define factors of influence as well as to develop a method to assess adhesive penetration.

Reversibility, coarse graining and the chaoticity principle

open access: yes, 1996
We describe a way of interpreting the chaotic principle of (ref. [GC1]) more extensively than it was meant in the original works. Mathematically the analysis is based on the dynamical notions of Axiom A and Axiom B and on the notion of Axiom C, that we ...

Pioglitazone plus (−)‐epigallocatechin gallate: a novel approach to enhance osteogenic performance in aged bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Aged human bmMSCs are seeded in the scaffold. Osteoblastic induction can slightly increase cell's bone‐forming activity to produce bone‐like tissues, shown as the sporadic xylenol orange‐stained spots (the lower left image). Notably, pioglitazone plus EGCG co‐treatment dramatically increases cell's bone‐forming activity and bone‐like tissue production (

Reciprocal Sum Expression for Steady-state Current–potential Curve in Electrocatalytic Model: The Relationship between Desorption Process and Reversibility

open access: yesElectrochemistry
Steady-state current–potential curves are often used to evaluate electrocatalysts. Steady-state current is generally expressed as a sum of reciprocals. Previously, we proposed that the catalytic reaction should be considered and that the inverse of the ...
