An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

Reversible Adversarial Examples with Minimalist Evolution for Recognition Control in Computer Vision
As artificial intelligence increasingly automates the recognition and analysis of visual content, it poses significant risks to privacy, security, and autonomy. Computer vision systems can surveil and exploit data without consent.

Checkpoint-based rollback recovery in session programming [PDF]
To react to unforeseen circumstances or amend abnormal situations in communication-centric systems, programmers are in charge of "undoing" the interactions which led to an undesired state.

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...

Tailoring Super‐Performed Chemo‐Sensor via Simulation‐Modeling and MEMS‐Screening
Chemo‐sensor designing involves a time‐consuming trial‐and‐error screening process, which commonly cannot lead to optimal S4R features (Sensitivity, Selectivity, Speed, Stability, and Reversibility).

Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Reversal of Photon-Scattering Errors in Atomic Qubits
Spontaneous photon scattering by an atomic qubit is a notable example of environment-induced error and is a fundamental limit to the fidelity of quantum operations. In the scattering process the qubit loses its distinctive and coherent character owing to its entanglement with the photon.

Nonlinear dynamical systems: Time reversibility {\it versus} sensitivity to the initial conditions
Time reversal of vast classes of phenomena has direct implications with predictability, causality and the second principle of thermodynamics. We analyze in detail time reversibility of a paradigmatic dissipative nonlinear dynamical system, namely the ...

Quantum f-divergences in von Neumann algebras: reversibility of quantum operations
Relative entropy has played a significant role in various fields of mathematics and physics as the quantum version of the Kullback–Leibler divergence in classical theory.

Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.
