Isolation, culture and growth characteristics of dermal papilla cells from Rex rabbits

Tissue and Cell, 2020
Dermal papilla cells (DPCs) is the key dermal component of the hair follicle that directly regulates hair follicle development, growth and regeneration. Successfully isolated and cultured DPCs of Rex rabbit could provide a good model for the study of hair follicle development mechanism in vitro.

Effects of Chronic Heat Stress on the Reproductive Capacity of Male Rex Rabbits

Livestock Science, 2012
Abstract The effects of chronic heat stress on the reproductive system of rabbits have not been thoroughly examined. Therefore, we investigated the effects of heat stress on the reproductive performance of male Rex rabbits and documented the recovery process after stress withdrawal.

Extremely hair follicle density is associated with a significantly different cecal microbiota in rex rabbits

Experimental Dermatology, 2023
AbstractIt has become increasingly clear that gut microbiota and skin are interconnected since the discovery of the ‘gut–brain–skin’ axis. Hair follicles (HFs) are skin microorganisms, but few studies have investigated their relationship to gut microbiota.

Methionine can subside hair follicle development prejudice of heat‐stressed rex rabbits

The FASEB Journal, 2022
Abstract In the present experiment, we study the function of methionine on hair follicle development in heat‐stressed Rex Rabbits and its potential molecular mechanism. Rex rabbits were randomly divided into 5 groups (30 replicates per group): control group (20–25°C, fed basic diet), heat stress group (30–34°C ...

[Discovery and genetic analysis of blue-eyed mutant in the white rex rabbits].

Yi chuan = Hereditas, 2013
Using cross, backcross, and full-sib mating experiments, allelism test was conducted to study the genetic mechanism of blue-eyed mutant of the white rex rabbits originated from the F1 generation from the cross American White rex rabbits(♂) × Chinchilla meat rabbits(♀).

Effect of feed restriction on rabbit meat quality of the Rex du Poitou®

Meat Science, 2004
Two orylag(®) rabbit genotypes, Castor and Chinchilla, feed restricted from 8 to 18 weeks of age at 130 g/d or fed ad libitum, were compared for growth, feed efficiency, carcass traits, and meat sensory characteristics. The total body electrical conductivity (ToBEC) value was also measured to predict meat quality. The feeding level was more restrictive

Rex Rabbit Somatic Cell Nuclear Transfer with In Vitro –Matured Oocytes

Cellular Reprogramming, 2016
Somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT) requires large numbers of matured oocytes. In vitro-matured (IVM) oocytes have been used in SCNT in many animals. We investigated the use of IVM oocytes in Rex rabbit SCNT using Rex rabbit ovaries obtained from a local abattoir.

Protein and Energy Requirements and Deposition in the Growing Brushtail Possum and Rex Rabbit.

Australian Journal of Zoology, 1985
Nitrogen and energy requirements of the growing brushtail possum Trichosurus vulpecula and the Rex rabbit were studied by means of growth, balance and calorimetry techniques in 2 trials. The maintenance requirements of apparently digestible N were estimated from balance as being 358 and 442 mg/kg0.75 daily for the possums and rabbit, respectively.

Study on the Influence of Nitrogen Plasma on Dyeing Properties of Rex Rabbit Fibers

Plasma Chemistry and Plasma Processing, 2017
The surface of rex rabbit fibers is hydrophobic in nature because of the presence of the hard cuticle on its surface, and this hydrophobicity may give rise to many problems in the dyeing and finishing processes. In order to improve its dyeability and decrease dye pollution in sewage discharge, nitrogen plasma was used to modify rabbit fibers and after ...
