Reynolds-Stress Model for Eulerian multiphase
Progress in Computational Fluid Dynamics, 2006Summary: This paper presents a way of modelling turbulence in multiphase flows within the context of the Reynolds-Stress Model. The model has been implemented in the general-purpose unstructured finite volume code Fluent V6. Two multiphase turbulence approaches were considered: mixture and dispersed models.

Physics of Fluids, 2023
For developing a reliable data-driven Reynold stress tensor (RST) model, successful reconstruction of the mean velocity field based on high-fidelity information (i.e., direct numerical simulations or large-eddy simulations) is crucial and challenging, considering the ill-conditioning problem of Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes (RANS) equations.

Generation of Reynolds Stress in Laboratory Plasmas
Physica Scripta, 2001The contribution due to the turbulence to the shear layer formation has been evaluated by measuring the off-diagonal part of the Reynolds stress tensor in the magnetised plasma Thorello. Measurements have been performed through a four pin electrostatic probe along the plasma radius and in different discharge conditions.

Modeling of the Reynolds Stress Transport Equation
AIAA Journal, 1997An empirical strategy for improving modeling of the energy dissipation rate e ij and the velocity-pressure gradient Π ij terms in the transport equations for the Reynolds stresses is proposed on the basis of available direct numerical simulations of the turbulent boundary layer and fully developed turbulent channel flow.

On the realizability of reynolds stress turbulence closures
Journal of Scientific Computing, 1994The realizability of Reynolds stress models in homogeneous turbulence is critically assessed from a theoretical standpoint. It is proven that a well known second-order closure model formulated using the strong realizability constraints is, in fact, not a realizable model.

Reynolds stresses – dependence on latitude
Astronomische Nachrichten, 2005AbstractWe present some results of three‐dimensional hydrodynamic simulations of a compressible flow under the influence of rotation. The code implements a three‐layer (stably–unstably–stably stratified) rectangular box placed at various latitudes in a convection zone of a star.

Reynolds Stress Modeling for Hypersonic Flows
2012Despite the enormous increase in computational capabilities and use of computational fluid dynamics as a design tool in the aircraft industry, the correct prediction of complex hypersonic turbulent flows involving shock wave boundary layer interaction (SWBLI) is still a challenge [1].

Reynolds stress in turbulent boundary layers at high Reynolds number
Journal of Turbulence, 2004A two-dimensional turbulent boundary layer experiment with zero pressure gradient has been carried out over a smooth surface using two cross hot-wire probes. Wind tunnel speeds of 10 and 20 m s−1 were set up to investigate the effect of the upstream conditions and Reynolds number on the outer flow.
