Studying Macromolecular Composition in Cell–Cell Interfaces Using 3D Membrane Reconstitution Systems
A comprehensive understanding of the interactions between proteins, lipids and glycocalyx components at the immune synapse is still lacking. Here, an artificial and a semi‐artificial model contact system were established to reconstitute the cell‐cell contact in 3D. The model systems enable the examination of macromolecule enrichment or depletion at the

Low Actuating Voltage Spring-Free RF MEMS SPDT Switch
RF MEMS devices are known to be superior to their solid state counterparts in terms of power consumption and electromagnetic response. Major limitations of MEMS devices are their low switching speed, high actuation voltage, larger size, and reliability ...

Abstract Recurrent point mutations in ribosomal proteins (RPs) RPL10 and RPS15 are found in T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), respectively. Furthermore, deletions of RPL5, RPL11, and RPL22 are frequent in hematologic diseases such as Diamond Blackfan Anemia, T‐ALL, multiple myeloma, and in a variety of ...

Extracellular vesicles from severe COVID‐19 airways carry depleted miRNAs and elevated DAMPs, reprogramming monocytes toward senescence, impaired metabolism, and predominantly reduced cytokine responses. However, they drive excess IL‐8 production, amplifying neutrophil recruitment and dysfunctional inflammation across the respiratory tract.

ABSTRACT Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are central mediators of tumour‐stroma communication, yet the mechanisms governing their biogenesis and functional cargo remain poorly understood. Here, we identify CD133 (Prominin‐1), selectively expressed in basal‐like triple‐negative breast cancer (BL‐TNBC) cells, acts as a key organizer of EV production and ...

Coaxial Dipole Array With Switching Transmit Sensitivities for Ultrahigh Field MRI
ABSTRACT Purpose To investigate dipole antennas with electronically switchable transmit field patterns to improve flip angle homogeneity in ultra‐high field MRI. Methods Reconfigurable dipole elements that could produce two distinct electronically switchable B1+ field profiles were conceptualized and constructed.
