Bi-fluorescence imaging for estimating accurately the nuclear condition of Rhizoctonia spp.
To simplify the determination of the nuclear condition of the pathogenic Rhizoctonia, which currently needs to be performed either using two fluorescent dyes, thus more costly and time-consuming, or using only one fluorescent dye, thus less accurate.A red primary fluorescence (autofluorescence) of the hyphal cell walls and septa of Rhizoctonia spp ...

In vitro antagonism between trichoderma spp. and rhizoctonia solani
We present here results obtained in the first stage of a plan to select strains of Trichoderma spp. effective for biological control of Rhizoctonia solani in soils. 28 strains of Trichoderma species were tested in vitro for antagonism against 3 strains of R. solani belonging to 3 different anastomosis groups.

Rhizoctonia species and anastomosis groups isolated from Lavandula species in Isparta, Türkiye
The genus Rhizoctonia includes a wide host of various kinds of more than 200 species of plants, and the genus includes different groups that are destructive plant pathogens and nonpathogenic to plants. Lavandula species are aromatic and medicinal plants

Eighty-eight Rhizoctonia isolates were recovered from 30 ornamental species grown in nurseries in Sicily and their anastomosis group (AG) and subgroups were determined. Fifty-six isolates belong to binucleate Rhizoctonia BNR and 32 were multinucleate and identified as R. solani.
