Analysis of carbohydrates and glycoconjugates by matrix‐assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry: An update for 2021–2022

open access: yesMass Spectrometry Reviews, Volume 44, Issue 3, Page 213-453, May/June 2025.
Abstract The use of matrix‐assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI) mass spectrometry for the analysis of carbohydrates and glycoconjugates is a well‐established technique and this review is the 12th update of the original article published in 1999 and brings coverage of the literature to the end of 2022.

Identification and structural characterization of a novel acetyl xylan esterase from Aspergillus oryzae

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, Volume 292, Issue 10, Page 2527-2544, May 2025.
A novel acetyl xylan esterase was discovered from Aspergillus oryzae. The deacetylase activity toward wheat arabinoxylan increased synergistically with xylanase addition. The crystal structure exhibited hybrid features between two α/β‐hydrolase families, highlighting its structural uniqueness.

“Powdered” lipases as industrial catalysts: Production of Interesterified, structured lipids

open access: yesJournal of the American Oil Chemists' Society, Volume 102, Issue 4, Page 701-709, April 2025.
Abstract Diversification of the applications of fats and oils has led to increasing demands on their properties. Interesterification reactions are used to alter the composition of the constituent triacylglycerols (commonly known as triglycerides) to introduce the desired properties and enhance their value.

[Rennet production by Rhizomucor miehei NRRL 3169].

open access: yesRevista Argentina de microbiologia, 2004
The production of rennet was studied, using different strains of the fungus Rhizomucor miehei. The selection and preservation of strains, type of growth, media design and operation conditions were evaluated. The experiments were carried out in Erlenmeyer flasks in rotary shaker at 250 rpm and 2.5 eccentricity, and in mechanically stirred fermentors of ...

Highly thermostable purified xylanase from Rhizomucor miehei NRRL 3169

open access: yesAnnals of Microbiology, 2010
A thermostable xylanase was purified and characterized from the thermophilic fungus Rhizomucor miehei (Cooney & R.Emers.) Schipper. The enzyme was purified 29.1-fold to homogeneity by ammonium sulfate precipitation, sephadex G-100 gel filtration and diethylaminoethyl cellulose anion exchange chromatography.
