Crystal structure, electronic, and magnetic properties of the bilayered rhodium oxide Sr3Rh2O7 [PDF]
The bilayered rhodium oxide Sr3Rh2O7 was synthesized by high-pressure and high-temperature heating techniques. The single-phase polycrystalline sample of Sr3Rh2O7 was characterized by measurements of magnetic susceptibility, electrical resistivity, specific heat, and thermopower.

Enhanced paramagnetism of the 4d itinerant electrons in the rhodium oxide perovskite SrRhO3 [PDF]
Polycrystalline rhodium(IV) oxide perovskite SrRhO3 was obtained by high-pressure synthesis techniques, followed by measurements of the magnetic susceptibility, electrical resistivity, and specific heat. The title compound has five 4d-electrons per perovskite unit and shows Fermi-liquid behavior in its electrical resistivity.

Large Exotic Spin Torques in Antiferromagnetic Iron Rhodium [PDF]
Spin torque is a promising tool for driving magnetization dynamics for novel computing technologies. These torques can be easily produced by spin-orbit effects, but for most conventional spin source materials, a high degree of crystal symmetry limits the geometry of the spin torques produced.

Supression of electron correlations in the superconducting alloys of Rh$_{17-x}$Ir$_x$S$_{15}$ [PDF]
We have studied the effect of Iridium doping (Rh$_{17-x}$Ir$_{x}$S$_{15}$) in the Rhodium sites of the strongly correlated superconductor Rh$_{17}$S$_{15}$. Even at low levels of doping (x = 1 and 2) we see a drastic change in the superconducting properties as compared to those of the undoped system.

Investigation of Gasochromic Rhodium Complexes Regarding Their Reactivity towards CO
The detection of the toxic gas carbon monoxide (CO) in the low ppm range is required in different applications. We present a study of the reactivity of different gasochromic rhodium complexes towards the toxic gas carbon monoxide (CO).

Ultraviolet Resonant Nanogap Antennas with Rhodium Nanocube Dimers for Enhancing Protein Intrinsic Autofluorescence [PDF]
Plasmonic optical nanoantennas offer compelling solutions for enhancing light-matter interactions at the nanoscale. However, until now, their focus has been mainly limited to the visible and near-infrared regions, overlooking the immense potential of the ultraviolet (UV) range, where molecules exhibit their strongest absorption.

Instability of the rhodium magnetic moment as origin of the metamagnetic phase transition in alpha-FeRh [PDF]
Based on ab initio total energy calculations we show that two magnetic states of rhodium atoms together with competing ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic exchange interactions are responsible for a temperature induced metamagnetic phase transition, which experimentally is observed for stoichiometric alpha-FeRh.
